Ok, someone tell me if I’m crazy. I normally run the RR in “SPORT” mode, but the mpg takes a serious hit (-2).
a couple of days ago, I decided to change the exhaust setting to “Baja”, ended up liking the sound, and left it that way. Now I’m seeing the return of the 2 mpg I lost with the exhaust in “sport” mode! I know that there’s less restriction in “Baja”, but I wouldn’t think that it would make that big of a difference. I don’t care who I piss off for +2mpg! 😛

To be honest I find it hard to believe it affects that much on your mpg but I do run in Baja all the time.

Running exhaust in Baja since close to beginning been fooling with Sport w/Baha....not sure I like the shift points in Sport but I'm stuck on Baha for exhaust regardless of other settings (of course auto start/stop is also locked out)

I think we need a thread in what’s your r mode?

I’m trying to decide for steering. Normal seems stiffer to me than sport or comfort.

I know that was humorous, but please don’t be that “*sshole Raptor” that enrages your neighbors. It is dead easy to switch to Quiet mode when you are around others. Thanks.

Even if this were true, which I find hard to believe, I would gladly sacrifice the 2mpg to not have to hear that constant loud drone on my commute every day. It's an amazing sound for ripping around in baja, but not so fun on a commute.

I understand…..you’re from the North West.
In the South Eastern U.S., where muscle cars are plentiful and there are more customized trucks than anywhere except maybe Texas, my RR in BAJA mode is considered QUIET. We have been raised well enough not to rev the engine when we leave for work before dawn, and we don’t get our feelings hurt by other people’s personal choices. 😉

I'm in the NW myself, and my neighbors all agree that any mode in the RR is quiet mode compared to my last vehicle. Years of cold starting a 6.4L Hemi with 3" SS exhaust for my daily commute definitely got some attention :D

I wish my Raptor had a roll coals button.
Most of the rest of the world has had the FORD Ranger Raptor with a 2.0L bi-turbo diesel for several year.
It must not have been a very impressive engine if Ford decided to leave it out of the line up.

Apparently they don't have any Harley's in Washington. You have one of those in your neighborhood and you'll hear it till the guy's 5 miles away. I doubt Baja Mode is anywhere near that.

Sounds fun and I love when it down shifts. I use it all the time.
Fair! Maybe the novelty wears off. I think Quiet mode sounds the nicest both inside and out.

Nicest doesn't equate to fun and loud haha. I play my music loud and enjoy my vehicle. To each our own.
