Sounds weird, but I would be scared if a dealer secured me a #1 allocation with no deposit at all. Just kind of opens the door for them to get out of any obligation.New here as well...How much are most dealers asking for in a deposit to get on the allocation list. I was able to secure #1 allocation at a local dealer with no deposit. Spoke to another dealer and they wanted a $500 non refundable deposit. Didnt want to put down a non refundable when I dont even know how much over msrp they are gonna charge (was told atleast $5k)
Even my local dealership that I have been talking to for the past 2 years, told me their is no list, and they will submit my order no matter what. Which also makes me nervous. I am just going to take them at face value, and if it's just a complete shit show, the good news is, there are a whole slew of midsizes to choose from now.
