Blend Door Issues - Resolved?

Been reading lots of horror stories of the blend door replacements. Is this issue year specific, or has Ford made improvements to rectify it in later (Gen 6 )years.

Considering this is the first I've heard of any blend door issue, and the fact you didn't mention what vehicles this affected, yup, totally fixed.

I believe the previous gen had this issue.

Theres no blend issue for the new gen. I believe they did finally fix late in 24 the tail light issue that was causing chips on the driver side though.

My 2024 has started making noises that sound like they’re coming from the HVAC blend system. Happens alot when the truck turns off at stoplights and then again after it restarts. Plastic ticking noise like the door is getting jammed while it actuates. Plan to bring it up at my next service, but I’m not keen on them ripping the entire dash apart to replace it until it completely fails.

I wouldn't procrastinate if they are willing to give a loaner. Just get it done. I procrastinate it on my 2019 and elapsed.

My 2025 has this odd random popping in the dash. Wonder if it's the same issue. Anyone have a recording of it. Or how it get fixed?​

Nope, the dealership looked at it, but said they couldn’t replicate the issue. Mine is intermittent and seems to only do it at certain ambient temperatures.

Same here, I can not nail down the exact way to replicate it. It only happens on certain days and times, but most noticed when I come to a stop?

Any update on this one? I can say it has to be tied to the AC blend door, OR it might be the vents expanding with temp changes? I cannot narrow down since it happens randomly, but only when the AC is on. And it seems like the sound comes from different areas? One of which seems like it is right behind the dash display and I don't think there is a blend door there? Anyone know how many blend doors there are and where they are located? That would help for sure!
