I took my Ranger to the park with a friend on the morning of 9 Oct 2025 to take some pictures of the falls, and then got a phone call that my vehicle had been broken into!

At least the tint captured most of the glass, but according to the local news media reported yesterday, over 125 vehicles were broken into in the area in the last week.

So still awaiting a Ford window to arrive, and the perp scratched the door, broke the mirror, and the internal door panel when crawling in and out of the vehicle.

Of course, no one saw anything in broad daylight!

At least I got the photo I wanted and one I didn't!

These lot's of Dysfunctional People out there.
One time I had my 4G Ranger's door lock ripped out. All that was taken was a chocolate easter egg in my glove box.

Not that this helps but, be vigilant of your surroundings. Report things that are suspicious.

When my truck was broken into i could see they had come from inside the apartment. I worked late. The fire door to the parking lot was propped open. i did not think anything of it. Just removed object and closed door. When most likely the guy was in the parking lot looting the cars.

One time i phoned the non emergency line. There was a guy with a bike and trailer.
He had one of those hydraulic body repair tools in the cart. A tool you could use to take doors off the hinges.

That really blows when stupid things like that happen.

Nice pic of the waterfall. We keep on lowering the bar for society and let shit like this get more wide spread. I hope the real Americans will start to wake up and put a stop to this stuff like in D.C.
Local crime - local law enforcement.

Sorry that happened. AWESOME waterfall picture.

The whole reason I bought the Raptor was to get away from people. Just reinforces my decision :)

Yes, but doesn't mean the feds can't step in like D.C. I rather let the feds help then let these useless leaders perpetuate the problem. Even worse grow it. Can't be ignored.
I won't get political, but there are limits and restrictions to federal involvement in local matters.

Ineffective policing and prosecution are big problems, but insufficient reasoning by themselves to involve the feds.

The options are to elect better DA's and judges. And elect city leaders who will pressure the police commissioner to do his job or get fired. Or move to somewhere else where local leaders do their jobs.

Unless the local government is effectively violating rights that are protected by the Constitution or federal law, federal law enforcement must stand down.

Do NOT read this as an endorsement or indictment of any current politician. I'm just explaining the law as I understand it.
