Mine cracked at about 8K miles. No visible chip. I was pretty hopeful at the dealership until the warranty lady ran her pen along the crack. Sure enough there was a chip. Replaced by Safelite through comprehensive with a $500 deductable.Worked at a dealership years ago and we had a ballpoint pen test. if you could "scribble" the pen across the crack and no where along did the pen find a spot where it clicked/caught on anything, then it was a stress crack and could be warrantied. Any place a stone or something damaged the glass, there will be a noticeable spot where the pen catches, you'll feel it, and that's where the impact happened = not warranty.
