1. What was needed, 5 pin or 3 pin?
2. Did the Dongar work for your dashcam?
3. Did the Dongar cause any issues/problems with the other electronics powered by the rearview mirror wiring?

2025 Lariat. My rearview mirror doesn't have a plug on it so no clue where you'd plug this in. Probably in the plastic housing where the sensors hang out. Didn't exactly want to start peeling back that trim personally.

I used the Dongar on my 24 Ranger Raptor. Pulled the cover and connected it. Zero issues after a year. Don’t recall the pin configuration, sorry.

Which Donger adapter did you use?

Per Dongar website, there are only 2 Adapter Packs for Ford and only one adaptable to Ranger. Not for sure yet which one is correct for the Ranger, need to look at the connection inside the rearview mirror housing. Thinking its the 5-Pin Adapter.

New to the Forums- hi!

My dongar adapter isn't here yet, but I did pull down the first trim piece and this 5 pin is hiding tucked up in there. Should work, hopefully. When the adapter arrives (Monday it says) I'll hook it up and report back.

I took off the trim a week ago, looked all over for a 5-pin plug. Determined the Ranger wiring is different than the Bronco video shows and gave up. Let me know if yours works and I may take another stab at it.

I successfully installed my camera with the Dongar adapter. I have used these adapters before, in both my Lightning I sold to buy the Raptor as well in my spouse's BZ4X (Toyota EV SUV...thing). Full writeup here:

Looking to order the adapter, Amazon doesn't seem to have the kit with both the 3 pin and 5 pin, they have a 3 pin kit that says 2019 and up Ranger but that can't be right. Looking at the Dongar site they offer 2 kits, looks like one is a 5 pin and the other includes both a 5 pin and a 3 pin. Price is the same for either one. Looks like either one will fit?

Also considering the $28 Hifihia from Amazon, wonder if it's just as good?
