General knowledge they are all overpriced and not needed. But can be negotiated. How many took undercoating, Extended warranty, paint protection or interior protection?
None. Never take dealer add on crap. It’s all crap and applied/installed by rushed under trained staff. Avoid like the plague even if it’s at a ‘decent’ price
The only thing you may opt for is a Ford backed ESP. Grainger, Flood, & Ziegler Ford all allow you to price a warranty online. If they can match that price, that’s the only add on I would do.
I generally avoid all that nonsense. About the only time I bought an add on was for spray in bedliner only because they had a deal with the local Line-X company that made it cheaper to get it through the dealership.
I bought the 8 year / 85,000 mile extended warranty from Granger. I don’t drive a lot of miles, but plan to keep my Ranger for a long time. With 20% down and 0% financing for 18 month, it seemed like a “no brainer” for me. With a new generation of Ranger and inflation at such high levels, cost of repair in the future factored into my decision. Said “No” to the ridiculousness offer my dealership offered, found Granger and this amazing offer on this forum.
