Dealership put my order as a Stock order instead of Retail.

Hi all, so I have a bit of info on my RR in azure grey I ordered. I put a non refundable deposit down on May 12 2023, and my dealer got my order in on May 30. I didn't know at the time that a priority code of 20 is stock orders until I looked into it when we heard rumors that retail orders would be built first. I went by my dealer to try to change it to retail, which they can't do, but did find out that my dealer has a second RR ordered as another priority 20 stock order, in Black with the graphics. They told me they have a build date for the black RR at the end of January, and that I can have it if it comes in first. Looks like I'm getting a black RR then, because if my Azure RR isn't even scheduled yet, then it may be another several months waiting. Not very happy about it, I wish they had done it as a retail order, especially with a non refundable deposit they know I won't back out of, but I guess I don't expect much better from dealerships. Happy new year's y'all, hopefully we get our trucks soon.

If I wanted Azure gray, I'd just wait another few months... I assume you plan on having this truck for years? I would be getting the color I want after spending that much money.

Seems they don't want to change it to retail, it's very hard to get an honest answer from many dealers it seems. I'm debating if I get the black RR early enough that I could try to post it on Bring a Trailer and try to make a quick $15k+ profit. Then I would go ahead with the new Power Wagon I've been wanting as well. I have two Hellcat engines sitting in my shop, one is for my 70 Cuda, and a hellcat power wagon sounds awesome for the other engine, especially since the 6.4 requires rods and pistons to safely boost. They also have a new Raptor R locally for $20k ADM I was considering trading my Shelby raptor for, but $133k is a lot on a depreciating asset. Lots of options, but I'll probably end up keeping the RR till I die since it's the first vehicle I specially ordered new for myself. Now it's either azure grey or black, and black is growing on me. We shall see.

My dealer changed mine from stock to retail a few weeks after order last summer. Peace.
