Yeah that’s what I thoughtI'ts marginally wider by less than an inch if I remember correctly. The bulk of the width is in a wider wheel track which means much wider fender flares and fenders.

I was surprised but unless there’s a typo on the GMC site (72.?”?) yep the difference is nearly 8”!I got my measurments from the Ford and GMC sites. The width is "excluding mirrors" for both. That's why there is ~8" difference but probably closer when you include mirrors.
Curious to hear your thoughts on size/comfort of the Ranger vs. Explorer once you get it. Having had an explorer, it’s width measurement (without mirrors) is almost the size of an F150 with the Ranger (using standard width rather than Raptor as the cab isn’t any bigger) being just a bit smaller. I know the measurements aren’t everything, but my standard is an F150 & Explorer, having gone one size too small on my current vehicle, I’m curious to know if a Ranger might just be big enough. Everybody here has F150s but I think they’d be big for the city.A Ranger Raptor is about 1” wider than an Explorer. About the same height. As an Explorer owner, I can tell you that you really won’t notice unless you spend all your time in the city in compact parking garages. For everyone else you’ll be just fine. And the Park Assist will give you that extra help for tight spots when you get to one of those garages. You’ll get used to the width quickly and come to appreciate it when you enjoy the width in the interior.
I’ll let you know when I get it. Remind me in a few months hahaCurious to hear your thoughts on size/comfort of the Ranger vs. Explorer once you get it. What's even crazier is the AT4X being the top dog with wider track is more narrow then then the 5G standard Ranger. I don't know how that math works.I was surprised but unless there’s a typo on the GMC site (72.?”?) yep the difference is nearly 8”!
I don’t think the math adds up because gmc.com lists the same number for all widths. Though that’s the only number I can find, perhaps just because that’s the manufacturer published one. What's even crazier is the AT4X being the top dog with wider track is more narrow then then the 5G standard Ranger. Yeah, that doesn't make sense. The AT4X has to be a couple inches wider.I don’t think the math adds up because gmc.com lists the same number for all widths. Though that’s the only number I can find, perhaps just because that’s the manufacturer published one.

Thanks, yeah the length hasn't really changed from the last gen ranger so I think it will be good. The wait is torture though. At least 2 more months before I see it.you will have no issues to drive around. it is a long vehicle due to being double cab dough.
This is exactly what I was hoping to hear. I owned a 5G so I know that feel very well.Sorry for taking so long to reply to your request...
I think Australia probably has roads and parking spaces more comparable to the US than Europe does but that being said I think the US roads and parking spaces are overall bigger than in Aus. where the "full-size" trucks like the F150, Ram and that Chevy thing all have difficulty fitting in parking spots.
In my city (Melbourne - 2nd largest in Aus) I have actually found the RR to be no problem at all. I was very concerned with it until I actually took delivery. Now that I am used to it, it is an absolute doddle to manoeuvre in traffic and in parking lots. It fits in normal sized parking spaces very well width-wise though it is a bit on the long side for most but not a problem.
The parking cameras make it very easy to park so that has never been a problem (I always reverse park in parking lots - it is easier).
On the road, I don't find it unwieldy. It is quite nimble for its size and doesn't feel big. The only think I do notice is that on the factory tyres, it can get a bit squirrelly under hard braking.
The cabin is dimensionally identical to the 5G model so if you want to get a feel for that then go and take a 5G for a spin.
Excellent! This is exactly what I was hoping to hear. I owned a 5G so I know that feel very well.
All Canyon's are the same width, including the AT4X. The AT4X AEV edition is wider however.Yeah, that doesn't make sense. The AT4X has to be a couple inches wider.
