I noticed today that my raptor has a bit of a lean to it so I measured from the ground to the wheel wells on flat ground and the passenger side sits about 1/2” higher than the driver side. Anyone measure the same? Are your trucks even at the wheel wells? I definitely have a little lean towards the driver side and I’d like to know if that’s normal. Thanks!

Yep. It’s pretty normal. I’ve seen others discussing it as well. Mine seems to lean between 1/4 and 3/8” all the time - before and after the Foutz 1 1/2” perch collars.

Fuel tank on driver's side so 120+ pounds on that side.

Good to know. I don’t think it’s going to bother me because it’s not real noticeable I just wanted to make sure I didn’t have a bad spring or something

Look at my past posts. Seems common. Normal, nope I don't think so. But common. It's not fuel tank or other items doing it. Some have it some don't. Some 1/2 inch others more or less.

Yep, it seems to be pretty common, I just call it the fuel tank lean.
My Ranger Raptor does it too.

My RAM TRX has the same fuel tank lean as well.

Less fuel in the tank generally means less lean detected.

Ram I am told did come out with a stiffer left rear spring to compensate on the TRX, for the Fuel tank lean.

I could have had it replaced on my TRX under warranty with the updated stiffer spring but it never really bothered me, so I never messed with having it done.

Maybe Ford will do something similar for the Ranger owners.

Measured again today with only half a tank of fuel and it’s a little less than half inch now so I’m not going to worry about it. I just hit 1,000 miles and my truck was literally built less than a month ago so maybe it will settle a bit

its not just raptors, its all truck where the tank is on one side. all the 85-2010 rangers have it, as well as my previous 98 sonoma.

like pointed out, you have te fuel tank and fuel (6ish pounds a gallon) and then you also have the drive side always carrying a person versus the passenger side might rarely have a person. so you have double weight penalties in the driver side.

Was very noticeable on my 21 Tundra when it had a full tank of fuel. Lots of people I spoke to had the same.

With my 150s and reading in that forum, not all lean. Most of mine did and I played myth busters on the fuel tank theory. pull into a station about empty and measure before filling up.... measure same spot after full and had no difference.
To expand little bit is you need to pre and post measure in the exact spot. I mark off my garage floor for that. moving and re-checking nets lean to no lean in different spots.. That said stock coils typically suck and after going with new coils the lean went away and stayed away

My Observation/ Experiences
Took RR delivery ~3wks, 400mls ago. Noticed the 'unleveled' bed stance next morning after delivery. Communicated and documented condition to dealer [see pics].

To-date dealer actions indicate effort to address issue and root cause(s) [rudimentary measures reflect 1.125" delta LH v RH]. Dealer escalation with Ford seems promising...at least tangible efforts underway.

The so-called 'Ford Hotline' offering to disassemble bed inspect assy, rail-to-bed fastening along with comparisons to specs and tolerancing [reference attached].

Let's see how it goes...
