I was just looking for a power source in the overhead console and mirror covered area. This connector adapter looks like it would fit the five pin connector I saw in my RR.
I just installed the Viofo A119 Pro with a Dongar Dash cam power adapter earlier today. With the exception of having to deal with the cold temperature, it was an uneventful installation. I used the 5-pin adapter but had to make modifications to it just as @randomquickness did. I used a Dremel to carefully modify the female connector of the Dongar adapter so that it could receive the male connector of the rearview mirror assembly and also to smooth out the middle alignment pin in the male connector of the Dongar adapter so that it could plug into the female connector of the rearview mirror assembly. I then fished the 2-pin connector of the Dongar adapter through the rearview mirror shroud at the mirror opening and plugged it into the Dongar USB module. This way, I did not have to make any physical modifications to the shroud. I adhered the Dongar USB module to the shroud's outer surface, and plugged the USB-C power cable into the dash cam. Hope the pics help with what I just described.
I'm not sure if I like the placement of the dash cam. I may move it to the center of the windshield below the shroud/housing.
Slightly (completely) off topic... any suggestions for powering a rear facing dash cam in the back window? My '23 Tacoma had live and switched power to the amp behind the rear seat for example.
