De-badged 2024 XLT FX4 2.3l.
UPDATES:
1. Had the tires road force re-balanced. Three were off quite a bit. Now she rides almost like stock. Very happy with the choices for this build. I was getting vibrations between 66-75, all good now.
2. Swapped out the Musology mud flaps for something with better coverage. They’re made much better, have better clips, & wider to keep chips off rear fenders and my camper.

For someone who likes the trails, not mall crawling, I chose Eibach for daily comfort and performance on the type of trails I do in the South and with this being my daily driver. These are a strong value considering Eibach is a leading manufacturer and supplier around the globe on performance vehicles. I called Dobinson's, my other choice, and based on my usage, 80% daily, ~20% off-road, and not 'loaded' all the time, they said I wouldn't like the daily ride. Appreciate the honesty and not an unneeded upsell.
Eibach finally got stock back and I was able to get the Stage 2R installed. I went ahead and added the Superpro UCA’s because, although technically not needed 2” and below, I’ve had issues in the past on other vehicles with like claims. Won’t hurt! Also, it will definitely get camber alignment right. Most important, if f I want to change in the future, I can go over 2.5", add obnoxious 35" tires, and not worry about it.
For tires, went with Toyo Open Country A/T III “pizza cutters” - 255/80/17. These are true 33.1” size mounted to Bronco Sasquatch wheels. There is no rubbing as they maintain the OE width, and with the lift they clear just fine. I've used Toyo OC's before and was very pleased. Based on options in this size, these were the best all around fit for my usage, including warranty, weight, road noise, and reviews.
i also added BDS 1” shackles to the rear leaf springs to maintain rake. I want to tow level, and seems to work perfectly, as intended.
First thing I did after leaving tire shop was recalibrate speedo with the ProCal tuner. Second thing was hookup the camper and hit the road for the weekend. Speedometer still shows truck 1MPH faster than GPS at 70MPH, but not enough for me to care, as it’s close enough.
I drove a little around town before the tires were mounted and I didn’t notice a big change other than the Eibach feel a bit more responsive, they seem less “squishy” than stock FX4 springs. Then after mounting the tires, I think I do feel the road quite a bit more with the 10 ply, but haven’t had enough time on them to make judgement, and only time will tell. I need to get some driving time on them and will post a follow up here.
Overall I'm pretty stoked with these choices. If you'd like to follow my mods, you can see them here.
