It's not difficult to make a procal style tune, and even +20-30hp on top of that tune. I can chop torque down and make the same HP as my typical stage 1. In fact I can make the same torque as the procal (-40tq) and keep HP up. The pro cal has very basic calibration changes in it.

People should understand that making more power isn't hard, it's quite literally the easiest thing a tuner can do. Keeping the trucks together and safe is the skill gap.

The nice thing about a custom tune is I can do anything the OP asks (as long as it's available/safe).

ok, Torrie replied super fast and said he can do it but he may have to have the stock file mapped and that may take a while. other then that, its good to go so that is awesome!!!!!

and yes, replied very fast and explained everything in normal people language so i understood what he was telling me.

thank you @landiscarrier for telling me to go there again since its probably been a year since i asked them previously and i forgot them when i was emailing all the tuners last month
You won’t be disappointed. His 93 octane tune in sport mode in the 2.3 is a blast!!

THIS! This is why I can't wait till the Goosetuned/Cobb tune is available for the '26. (I still don't quite understand the relationship.) Any idea on the time frame?

I work very closely together with COBB.

No ETA as usual, but sooner than later!

I finally ordered my Goosetune and it arrived super fast. With my mods it should put roughly 110-115 more HP at the wheels according to them. Then I get the welcome email that clearly states 'Do Not Tow" with this tune due to overheating from advanced spark curves, boost and so on. Well that sucks. Goosetune told me that they offer a tow tune which is reduced performance across the board. If I wanted a mediocre tune I would just buy a Ford ProCal. I was told that if I wanted to tow I would need to reflash the stock tune each time I connect a trailer. I'm way too lazy for that. Any thoughts? I'm thinking about returning it and just bailing on the tune entirely.

Thoughts? The Procal is anything but mediocre.

There are 2 or 3 sites that specifically say they can do the 24 2.3. But when i actually talked to them, bo go.

I would love someone to find a place that does but since i have tons of free time at work, i dont think they will find more then i have.

Zfg, 5 star, and one other said they do on their sites but not when you actually talk to them. Even the 5g guys told me places to try and nothing
What about Livernois? They are the company behind the Ford Performance tunes.

I always wondered about that. The tuning device was so similar in appearance.

I spoke to Winfield. The tow tune is an additional $175 over the initial $1300 already spent. I would love to squeeze as many ponies as I could out of this truck just for the fun of it. But having to change tunes back and forth isn't fun. I wonder if someone will eventually develope something like the 5 DSP tune that I have in my LBZ Duramax in my Hummer H1. 5 specific tunes I can select on the fly.
Zombie,
I understand completely. When I originally researched the whole tune process, I thought it was easy to change tunes going from 93octane gas to e85 ethanol. Now that I have done it— It is not that easy, and all the learned data on each tune is erased every time you change back and forth.
You mentioned several tunes on your Hummer you can switch on the fly.

Several places (DSR comes to mind first) in Australia, that have a similar system for Ranger Raptors. They call it a Multi-Tune. It uses the cruise control functions on the turn signal stalk to access, scroll, and select the tunes 1-4 which are visualized on the tachometer with 1k rpm being tune 1, 2k rpm tune 2, etc. They mention having two tunes—a high boost tune and a low boost tune—which I believe is kind of what we need. A high power tune, and a towing tune; and for me a 93 octane and an e85 tune. Their system Is truly switchable on the fly. Here is a Video . If you look at the tuner they use, it looks very similar to the Ford ProCal/Livernois unit. I did some research on it months ago and went with the Hp tuner system.

i have to go back and check but i think theirs is like the procal, a basic "canned" tune for the 24 2.3.

He's not switching from E85 to 93, he's switching from a pump gas map to a pump gas tow map. Learned data being erased is not an issue, it's no different from changing a battery.

I have map switching setup on my trucks, and have for over a year. It's cool, but it's also twice the cost. Happy to set anyone up with that if that's what they want!

I've been happy with the Livernois tune, good power, good price and includes a tow map at no extra charge.

Bruh. It literally takes 2-3 minutes to change tunes if you have the Cobb access port and Winfields tunes.

I already shipped it back to Winfield. Probably not going to keep the truck anyway.
