Nope, Nice try! Post #170 from this thread, straight from Ford Performance! It pays to read.

Just received a response from Ford Performance regarding warranty question. OEM Warranty is intact and so is the extended warranty purchased by the owner. The warranty is for the tune from Ford Performance. Just like I posted before…………..🫵

RE: 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor Performance Calibration;

Hello Jeff🇺🇸,

Q:1. Does it reduce the entire OEM warranty to 3years/36,000, including a reduction: removal of the 5 year/60K power train warranty?

Q:2. Does the tune not affect this portion the warranty?

Q:3. Is this simply a warranty on the product (Tune) and doesn’t affect the factory warranty, keeping it intact?

A: 1,2,3… Installation of Ford Performance tunes such as M-9603-REB30 does not reduce or remove your Manufacturer powertrain warranty from Ford. You will still maintain your factory coverage.

https://performanceparts.ford.com/download/PDFS/fpp-warranty.pdf

However. The installation of any aftermarket parts can adversely impact any potential manufacturer warranty claims that are made related to or caused by that specific aftermarket part/kit installed. To cover any occurrences where that could be the case, Ford Performance Parts offers a 3 year / 36,000 mile Limited Warranty from the in service date of the vehicle when a Ford Performance Kit with warranty is purchased, installed, and registered as directed. If a manufacturer warranty claim is not related to the installation of a Ford Performance Parts kit (in this case a tune) then normal manufacturer warranty applies.

Q:4. What about those who have a Ford extended, paid customer owned warranty, does it affect this warranty as well? Will it null a void this warranty all together?
A:4 We at Ford Performance can only comment on our Ford Performance Parts Limited Warranty and how it interacts with the Ford Manufacturer Warranty.

If a customer has concerns regarding any extended coverage they may have purchased, they should read their contract and contact their Agent to understand how the installation of aftermarket parts, such as Ford Performance Parts, affects their coverage.

Q:5. So, either it’s a OEM warranted Ford product or it’s not, which is it?
Q:6. Is the warranty from Ford or Ford Performance?

A:5&6 The Ford Performance Parts Limited Warranty is a plan offered by Ford Performance Parts, which is a department within Ford Motor Company. It is specific coverage for the Ford Performance Part and should not be confused with the Ford Manufacturer Warranty.

For more information, I would recommend reading our Warranty documentation linked below…

I hope this helps answer your questions.

So, cutting thru a couple individuals garbage, previously mentioned and speculated about; above are the answers ^ from no less than a Ford Performance supervisor. Enough said!

Still waiting on response from Ford Warranty Division and my Dealership General Manager. Post it when it’s received. So, this provides the necessary information for those who are interested in purchasing, specifically regarding warranty information and what it applies to!👍🇺🇸

It has CARB Approval, feel free.
I already have and you know more than those from Ford Performance, who actually develop and sell the tune in Michigan, not California..…………….Oh dag gum it, the tune was just released and the emails are one day old as well.

Wrong again, it pays to read the entire thread, so you’ll actually be informed. “No button for purchase thru Ford Performance, because they don’t have CARB approval.” Try again!🫵. Look below, FORD Performance must be lying………🤣

According to Ford Performance from an email this morning;

RE: 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor Performance Calibration

Good morning Jeffery,

You are able to purchase the tune from any Ford dealership as well as any of our distributors, as long as you do not live in California. The tune is still waiting to be approved due to the CARB regulations there, so we do not offer the Buy It Now button for that reason.

Thank you,

Well, DAMMIT! One of the reasons I ordered was to fix my 35" tire calibration.

Anyone know if the dealership can/will make adjustments for larger tires?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but reading the description for the calibration tool that comes with the tune. It states explicitly that:
  • Speedometer correction for gear/tire changes (within factory parameters)

It’s what it says but the only way to know for sure is to ask.
  • Features include:
    • High resolution touch screen with intuitive graphical interface
    • Cloud updatable
    • Reads and clears DTCs (DTC descriptions displayed)
    • Speedometer correction for gear/tire changes (within factory parameters)
    • Real-time engine data display - air/fuel ratio, spark timing, cam timing, throttle angle
    • Real-time data logging

  • Also performs valuable service functions including:
    • Key on/Engine off test
    • Key on/Engine running test
    • Profile relearning (Crank relearn)
    • Clear adaptive fuel trims
    • Clear keep alive memory

  • Includes a swivel suction cup window mount.
Will it include these functions as well, I’ll shoot off an email to the supervisor. 👍🇺🇸

Oreo does his side work for Ford Performance 😉, while driving his pretty well upgraded red Jeep.

I'm sure he is battle tested on that AV1790 motor. That's why he knows about tuning high horsepower engines.

your MPG got better?
In my personal experience, with other turbo cars in the past... after a tune there was an improvement in mpg. It gets countered by the general tendency to put my foot in it a little more often. Obviously, I can't speak for this specific tune but it wouldn't be a big surprise to me if my mpg could be higher after this tune. It's all just guesses at this point though.

It comes with the calibration tool as advertised by Ford Performance, but only as a presumption with the tune added to the calibration tool as delivered. 👍🇺🇸

Same here. I didn't buy it. I have my reasons 😌
There will be others for sure and worth waiting for. Cobb will eventually put one out and it will ultimately be more versatile overall. May change to it at one point or another.👍🇺🇸
