I finally got around to installing mine this afternoon.
It took right at 30min, from opening the package, reading the abbreviated instructions, registering my account, downloaded full instructions, read over those, downloading and updating software, setting up the pro-cal, going out to the truck downloading the stock file, going back to the computer backing up those files, and downloading the performance tune files, going back to the truck and installing the tune. No big deal. 30 min tops and never done it before. I bet I could do it in 15 min if I were doing it again.

At no point did any of that process ever require me to enter any mechanic or dealer credentials.

I am happy with tune. I need to go back through some of my prior settings, I had programmed into the truck to stay in quiet mode near 24/7. Which I seemed to have lost that it was in normal exhaust mode when I was done. No big deal, I imagine I just need to reset the timer settings for quiet mode.
Bravo for realizing that 99% of people on this thread are wasting their money paying a dealer or ASE certified mechanic to do this!

They have a dealer do it to keep the warranty on the tune intact, not because they lack brainpower. @cc1999 is SOL if he runs into problems.

I really doubt that.

There is not one step of the process that ever asked for any mechanics credentials , or dealer codes.

I was simply saying how simple it is, so that those that get them dealer installed and get quoted crazy prices like $300 for 15 min of work, might know more about whats involved.

If a person is concerned about warranty ever being an issue, by all means have a dealer put it in.

Personally I am not in least bit concerned about ever getting a warranty denied, Because of this tune.

Hello All! Long time creeper, just created account to let yall know, I LOVE this tune and this truck.

I don't notice much difference in exhaust except idle very faint rumbling like a tiny baby cam.

It goes. Noticeable at the seam of the pant for sure. And for the money, it's gotta be the best power for buck at the moment.

I don't know how to review this, so if any questions, I will try to keep notice. I do NOT understand all the gauges you can view. Dealer installed it, so no real answers there for you guys, sorry.

Awesome bro! Do you see decrease or increase of mpg for regular drives? And how much impact on mpg in sport or Baja modes?

Exactly my point!
People are welcome to waste their money if they want to.
For the Ecoboost platform I have never heard of a single instance of damage occurring and warranty being denied because the FP tune wasn’t installed by a certified mechanic…

I just purchased a Dragy unit, but I can’t seem to get a valid run in. I’m not sure what the problem is considering slope is good and up to 16 satellites connected. Any suggestions?

Looks like it's connected, but the signals aren't strong enough. Make sure it's on the dash and point up and try again

Is the Procal plug and play? The dealer didn’t install the actual unit in my car, they just did the tune. Can I just plug it in to the OBD port and be good to go?

I dont understand why people keep going on about this. What if my neighbor, who is an ASE certified mechanic, assisted me(or completely did it) in installing the tune. Like the dealership is ever going to ask who istalled the tune when you bring it in??

Did you hook up your battery to a tender or charger. I did not when I tuned my '19, Also apparently there isn't code to enter anywhere as there was when I did my '19. I had dealer do the final step after I did all the rest but this time the dealer is being hard nosed about it and wants to charge me a full hour. Got an ASE that is going to do it for $50 which is less than a third of dealer's hourly rate.

No, I did not do the battery tender step.
Only code I had to enter was the one on the paperwork that came with the tuner, that code was needed during the setup process of the tuner when I had it tied to my PC while setting up my account with Ford.

Odd, no paper with mine. There was one with a code when I did the 2.3 tune. I was able to update the software on the tool but have not hooked it up the truck for the first time yet.

That is what I got with the 2.3 Tune, missing in my box. Called Ford and got a resolution as will be provided a voucher number by sending my VIN and proof of purchase. I got as far as where you download the tune to the tool and it wanted the Voucher #. Guy I talked to said this is happening often......ARHGG!
