So envious. I drove my Livernois tuned 2019 like a sports car and loved it. I have to skip this time with RR because I have a 8year 125k warrantee I don't want to put to waste. But, I might cave in later and cancel the ESP warrantee if "I feel the Need, the NEED for SPEED!"

Why are you thinking your extended warranty will be no good if you install the tune ?

I wouldn't say no good but they will have a reason to deny. It's hit or miss if the dealer will honor it. Burden off proof is on them but I would have to lawyer up to prove my case. It's not black and white.

Glad I read your post before I ordered my tune. I called Ford Performance, my Ford service advisor, and I just got off the phone with the gentleman that sells the extended "Ford" warranties at my dealer. He said I will not be covered if something happens to my engine and they know it has the tune in it. They will deny a claim at first until Ford Performance can prove that it wasnt the tune. Then you're right, and you're talking lawyers and everything. He has a Mustang GT 5.0 that he didn't put the Ford Performance blower and intake on his for this reason. Myself, I'm taking your route and enjoy the comfort of a full factory warranty, no hassle. I still have the most diverse vehicle ever produced on an assembly line as far as I'm concerned.

Yup, it's plenty fast as is. I will probably end up tuning it in that tail end of my ownership. If Ford fully backed Ford Performance products. I wouldn't hesitate. Never bought a vehicle this expensive and don't want to throw that kind of money into the wind.

We don't get it here either but my truck is tuned, You can install the tune by downloading the US stock RR file after that you can get your Procal Performance Tune installed.

I recently purchased MY24 RR.

Just wanted to check that I am understanding correctly based on the collective feedback provided in this thread:

1. Ford Performance tune that is installed using ProCal 4 tool has to be installed by a authorized Ford dealer or ASE mechanic outside the stealership in order to retain a full factory bumper-to-bumper warranty
2. However, if we decide to purchase a Ford issued extended warranty for coverage after 3years/36k miles, that warranty will not “easily” cover any engine related damage (unless Ford Performance can prove that it wasnt the tune that cause any damage, something that may take time and attorney related expenses).
3. If item 1 and 2 are correct, here are 2 questions… - has anyone dealt with any reputable aftermarket extended warranty that would provide the coverage Ford would not with the FP tune? … - do we have to register the Ford Performance tune at all as ProCal tool can be used to flash to the factory tune? (I know other car manufacturers track the count of how many times the ECU was flashed with the software)… To me it is just plain silly that original factory warranty is valid but Ford-sold extended warranty would not, especially when dealing with Ford Performance tune.

Alright, Ive been looking for any information on how the M-9603-REB30 For 2024 Ranger Raptor install went, mostly If there were any issues with the install. I am having the Dealership where I purchased my 2024 from also do the install. The dealership owner is a friend of mine and explained that the install would be covered by ford. I am in California and have been emailing Levittown ford parts since last Sept when I purchased it. Finally ready for Ca. I will let you all know how it goes. Scheduled install tomorrow.

Had the FP tune installed many months ago.
It wakes up the truck, especially in Sport Mode.

I thought the R-Raptor ran good before but now it runs great.
I've just finished a period of around town driving totaling 1248 miles and the mileage shows 18.7. On the road highway mileage is 20.9 depending on traffic and how heavy the foot gets.
I think it was a very worthwhile upgrade.
See dyno sheet below that shows the rear wheel HP and Torque.
384.53 HP and 475.93 Torque. Between 3000 & 4000 rpm it's making a lot of torque for a stock (except for the tune) 3 liter TT motor.
I'm please with this tune, and hope everyone has the same results!

I'm pretty sure the "learning" described in this thread is just the ECU slowly (read: safely) adding timing until it meets the max parameters of the tune based on any number of different engine and environmental variables. It also pulls timing back as soon as anything goes awry, such as engine knock.
