That rendering looks like a Santa Fe and a Maverick had a kid that grew up to be larger than either

I just saw this. I find some of the comments about making the vehicle look like a truck very reassuring.

That’s not the skunk truck. Only a rendering.

But why?

They just have to look at the F150 Lightning and "Mustang" Mach-E sales to see this isn't a good idea.
Maverick Hybrid is the sweet spot.

I think the problem with the lightening especially is the price.

in fact all electric vehicles in the United States are relatively expensive.

this vehicle and its kin supposedly will break that paradigm.

and California still has a zero emission tail pipe law where 100% of sales must be zero emission by 2035

and globally electric vehicles are still continuing to rise in sales. So if you want to compete globally, you better have some electric options.

and it appears, the Ford might take tech from this euv project and marry it with internal combustion engines.

a great part of the modern car is software and if i am reading things right, this new euv project took more stuff in house. If done right I could see keeping costs down snd improving reliability.
