Will the FordPass App drain the battery on your RR? I was thinking of uninstalling it for I really use it, but I guess it's cool to have.
Just like to know your guy's thoughts and if you use it on a daily basis?

I highly doubt this is an issue. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this being an issue with any vehicle.

The telematics are active whether you use the app or not. After a period of inactivity the vehicle goes into a deep sleep mode to conserve the battery.

Why does my Ford vehicle enter Deep Sleep mode?
Deep Sleep mode is designed to conserve your vehicle's battery power. This setting is activated when your vehicle falls under the following conditions:
  • Vehicle inactivity for 14 consecutive days
  • The battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts
  • Extremely cold/hot weather conditions

How would an app, on your phone, drain a vehicle battery?.

I think OP assumed the app is directly communicating with the vehicle at all times when it's actually Ford's servers that the vehicle is connected with and the app just interacts and pulls data from the servers.

I use it everyday. I rarely take the key out. No problems

Except, of course, when you lock, unlock or remote start your vehicle.

i am guessing that is through their server also.

how else would it do it with a truck that was turned off?

Yes... I suspect everything Fordpass related goes through their servers.

The F150 and Escape Forums talk about this issue. I drive my 2021 F150 twice or three times a week for short trips. I had drain issues that worsened as the AGM battery aged. Things began to shut off like interior lights and the passenger door would not open with the hand touch location. Power mirrors closing on lock stopped working, as did the steering wheel and seat memory. I put it on a charger/maintainer, per my tech recommendation, who also said to drive at least 30 minutes once a week. When the battery was nearly dead last year, put in a larger capacity AGM battery. No more issues but still put it on a maintainer in the garage if going on a trip and not driving.

The wife's 2024 Escape Hybrid should be named Rip Van Winkle. It goes into deep sleep, as she rarely drives it. I drive it once a week for a short trip and put it on a maintainer when needed.

The 2020 Escape Hybrid was worse, but the 2024 still could use a larger capacity 12 V. When I get the RR, I will take my maintainer plug in connector off the F150 12V and put it on the RR, just in case. Don't need a Rip Van Raptor.

Ford knows about the battery drain, especially hybrids. They have replaced a lot of batteries under warranty. In the Escape, the battery is in the trunk, under the spare tire. To trickle charge or jump it, there is a pos post and a neg post in the engine compartment to connect to.

Ford has replaced a LOT of batteries for free due to defective batteries. Guess what? The new batteries don't have that problem any more! Go figure.....

I've had a 2019 F-150 Raptor two Mustang GTs (a 20 and a 22) and now a 25 Ranger Raptor and haven't ever had a battery run down.... It was a bunch of bad batteries not Ford Pass or anything like that running them down.

Yep, I could be in Texas and the truck be in Louisiana and start/stop, lock/unlock even roll down the windows with the app.
