I get a "Charging System" code on my 2025 Ranger Lariat after disabling Auto Start/Stop (ASS) with FORScan. Any idea for a fix, the code will not clear using Forscan.

I don't believe anyone has figured out how to disable ass on the NA rangers using forscan without causing errors to appear.

You can not disable the start/stop via forscan! Here's hoping you backed up before making changes

Make sure you follow the forscan spreadsheet in the main official forscan thread - you can do some serious damage if you make changes randomly

All is true here. S/S can’t be disabled on us trucks. The warning light can be removed via Forscan but the rest not so much. Only way I’ve be able to do it is with a third party bypass module.

Now the charging system error or notice could be something else. I was getting those every once in a while and came out one day to a dead battery. It turned out to be a faulty battery. Dealer replaced under warranty. I’d get that checked.

Not true. I disabled auto start stop on my 2022 Maverick using forescan and it worked perfectly. It just takes someone testing it out and ruining their truck for my benefit😬

Your 22 Maverick isn’t a 24+ Ranger though, is it? I think you could do it on 5 G Rangers, haven’t seen any reports of it working on a 6Gen.

Yep, I get it.

Different names on the tailgate and they must different. Turns out, manufacturers normally use the same base line code to make there vehicles. The pro rust engineers at Ford can't be that different to everyone else out there.

If they don't use the same throughout the line up, explains their recall record last year. For our sake, let's hope they do.
