Actually now I remember, TTA will not work if you have hard switch input for HDC.

You have to add D6 which means you will no longer have hill decent control working from the switch panel but you can still activate it from the off road screen.

Does that make sense?

I'll test this tomorrow. I saw in some comments on Facebook that maybe it should be F6 to maintain hill decent control. What do you think?

I don't hear anything. Could it be a noise like when I change from 2H to 4A?

When TTA is activated and you turn the steering wheel, there is a very surprising (scary) noise when you start driving.

I've maintained HDC but only via the soft button on the off road screen. I've tried lots of combinations to get it in conjunction with the HDC hard switch but nothing has worked.

I've tried both F6 and D6 and D6 was the better option if I recall.

I tried again today without changing the programming, and it simply worked. It seems the truck just needed a night's rest. The HDC hard switch is still working normally. Original 760-03-01 was 683C 5463, changed to 683C D493.

Trail Turn Assist




Just revisiting the Trail Turn Assist functionality in light of the updated module data pages in the spreadsheet - thanks for the heads up @Waffel



If the new ABS 760 (Ranger Specific) worksheet is correct for the Ranger Raptor then the change to be made in the as-built ABS module to get TTA working (for my Ranger in any case) would be as follows:

Existing:
760-03-01 F27C 764F (Which translates to: TTA Without TTA • AVH With AVH • TBC With TrailerBrakeController • TCS Trail Control Switch input from the APIM • SDMG SDM Gen4 • HDCST HDC Soft Switch Input from the APIM)

Should be changed to:
760-03-01 F27C F64F (Which translates to: TTA With TTA • AVH With AVH • TBC With TrailerBrakeController • TCS Trail Control Switch input from the APIM • SDMG SDM Gen4 • HDCST HDC Soft Switch Input from the APIM)

I shall try this the next time I get out onto the dirt.

Tried this but my 760-03-01 looks nothing like this. I did get the button to show up with the APIM changes. Ideas?

That is rather odd! My ABS 760-03-01 only has 8 hex digits but yours has the full 12. Also, your Forscan image shows that you don't have the "Write" button next to the 760-03-01 item - I'm pretty sure mine did.

Is it possible that your car is newer (mine has a late 2022 build date) or uses a different ABS module?

Anyone else care to speculate?

None of this solves your problem though I'm afraid.

Weird. Truck didn't come with TTA. I did the first 2 APIM changes first and that added the TTA button on the off road screen (buttons there but does nothing). Would it be possible that the changes the APIM's changed my ABS 760-03-01? I wouldn't think so but your right. According to my stock ABS 760-03-01 having "C1" it looks like it indicates that it's equipped with TTA.

There used to be an alternate ABS module sheet in the workbook - I think it was for the F150 though. Not sure if the codes described in that would make more sense for you. It does seem particularly odd!

I might try changing my 2 to a 3 in the last digit of box one
