there is actually a thing I am not sure is correct on the spreadsheet. the note says bits 1 and 2...but the XXXX shows only bit 1 with *.....I changed that with 3, and after ignition it goes back to 0. should I change both bit 1 and 2 to 3?
Not sure if the same applies to these trucks, but on the 21, 22 and early build 23 F150s, the IPMA needs to be updated before this feature can be enabled.
I haven’t tried plugging in a trailer or a load, but I forced towing mode and made my trailer active. That did not turn on the option. Maybe it requires an electrical connection to the trailer plug
Yea, it has to detect a trailer connected for it to work. However, if the bit that you change isn't sticking and it's changing it back, then maybe the event doesn't exist in the IPMA firmware. Pull the module details on the ipma to see what's strategy it's on. Maybe someone that has it working can check to see if the strategy in their ipma is different from yours to at least rule that out.
