Front driveshaft click/noise

My 2026 2.7 XLT 4wdr has the dreaded front driveshaft problem. Had it back to the dealer around 600 miles, they claimed brake noise keep driving. Now 2200 miles still there. After reading about the front driveshaft replacements being made under warranty at Ford dealers with the exact same part, only to have it fail repeatedly, I’d rather not waste time and inconvenience at the dealer for a temporary fix, if that. That said, has anyone out there had a replacement front driveshaft made up that has solved this problem permanently? I’m not rich but willing to pay for a fix since Ford has not seemed to attempted or produced a proper repair. Also like to add that this truck has done this since day 1, and my research was done well after, not before causing me to “listen” for it and imagining it- This is a real problem.

Why pay? When Ford warranty covers. After repair they warranty for an extended time. I would exhaust all routes of repair with that prior to paying for a service that may or may not fix your issue.

I read the solution is making a custom heat shield to block exhaust heat from cooking the cv axle, and then greasing the replacement cv with new grease (higher temp rating). I don't remember the specifics, just that the process seemed rather basic.

The reason I’d rather pay for a permanent solution is the inconvenience and aggravation of multiple dealer visits and time down where I don’t have the truck. Guess I just can’t understand why the manufacturer is not properly addressing this.

Money, same as always. Cheaper for them to just swap it versus redesign mid flight

There would be no way I would be paying out of pocket for vehicle repairs that are under warranty. Let them fix it, do it again, and do it again if they have to. .
