Maybe this was there before and not noticed until now- I had Ford replace the windshield under warranty due to glass delamination.
I just noticed a gap above the plastic trim where it meets the head liner.
Is this normal?
I will bring it to the attention of the dealer on next visit.

Mine has no gap between the mirror trim and the overhead console. Perfect tight seam.

Can you circle the gap on the picture? I can't see the gap.

That's what mine looked like after the dealer replaced a sendor inside that cover. All I did was just pull that cover down enough to see if the wires are bunched up - and they were. I rearranged them until they were as flat as I could get them, than snapped the cover back in place. Thats all it took. However, mine was just the middle plate. Your whole housing is loose. Check it out anyhow. it might work.

Thanks, is the center piece separate?
I couldn't really tell on mine and didn't want to break it.
I might just let the dealer mess with it since they worked on it last.
I'm afraid of I break it, I bought it.
I haven't been in for the "A" wiring check yet. If the harness need replacing they will probably need to remove it anyway.
So far I trust this dealer.

That whole trim piece is held in with clips, I'd just smack it and see if it seats, that's all the dealer is probably going to do. Otherwise as others have said if it won't seat fully see if a wire is in the way.
