Not sure if this video from this NZ legend has been shared here yet, but it's a great simple tutorial on how to easily Forscan the Ranger Raptor (Works with normal Rangers too) with the most user friendly settings. I've followed it and changed pretty much the same settings as in this video and it's all worked flawlessly!

Hope it helps with getting some confident in running Forscan, it's 100% worth it!

EDIT: Thought I would add the link to the cable I used, as it worked perfectly and no need to switch channels manually:

If only my vin would be recognized with FORScan or FORScan lite. Neither my Ranger nor my ‘25 bronco sport are recognized.

Is there a setting in FORScan to disable start/stop? I truly hate it, when I forget to use the switch to turn off I think the engine stalled.
I know there's a cable available that turns it off. But just turning it off in the module seems to be a better solution.

I believe there are issues with that, the F150 world Forscan tricks the module into thinking it has a trailer conected.

No unfortunately at this time Forscan is unable to defeat the start/stop system

The start/stop cable works perfectly and once it’s in it’s literally just plug in and forget about it. I’ve had it in mine for over a year now and haven’t given it a second thought. Well worth doing

Thanks. Which cable did you buy?

What cable are you using? Seeing as you're having issues on two separate vehicles, it seems like a hardware (Cable or laptop) issue rather than Forscan not working

Tried both the wired and Bluuetooth OBDLINK recommended adapters. The apps recognize the adapters and connect to the car but then tell me that the vin is too new.

Are you asking which start stop cable did he buy or FORSCAN cable? I bought the 4D Technology auto start stop one for $100. First thing I did when I bought my truck.
Yes, the start stop cable was what I was asking about. Thanks.
The first thing I bought was hood struts. Couldn't believe Ford didn't include them.

I really need to get up to speed and start using Forscan. I plan to add some perch collars and i understand that there is a requirement to use Forscan to update ride height sensors and stuff to get it all settled back in and not trying to correct for a problem that doesn't exist.
