Headrest Molle Panels - 3D Print

I couldn't find something that worked for me already available, so I merged two models I found online and printed this last night. I'll post the models on maker world after I check what licenses the original models are under. I printed them in PETG-CF filament.

That is very slick, how much weight will they safely support?

Will you please consider making a variation that will fit the FRONT face of the three back seat headrests? Those are pure wasted space, since I never carry a rear passenger…

Q: How much weight will they safely support?
A: No idea. I haven't tried to break it yet and just printed it today. It's feeling really sturdy so far. I used PETG-CF filament with 6 walls, 25% Gyroid infill, and 0.12mm layer height.

A: That's not a bad idea. I have a bunch of other things I want to get made before I do that though. I might get around to it eventually.

Printed V2 last night and made it fit a little better and increased the surface area between the mount and molle panel.

I'm thinking of making a second version with two more columns of molle. Does it look too wide?

I feel it would look better flush with the sides like in the first pictures and just add a small pack

Love this design! Both sizes are great but would prefer the smaller one. I just want to add a 32 oz. Nalgene water bottle pocket and small first aid kit back there. I’d be interested in purchasing two as well.

Hi all, wanted to give an update. I'm having to alter the design to make it stronger cuz I managed to break it consistently in the same spot. I'm also waiting to hear back from the original creators that I adapted this model from, so I can see what licensing it was done under previously. It is my intention to upload it to Maker's world as long as they're cool with it.

For anyone following the thread, I just wanted to make an update. Project is not dead, but is on hold. What is dead are both of my 3D printers. . I ordered parts and hopefully can get them fixed the next 2 or 3 weeks when I have some time.
