Thanks for that info, it is useful and I had not measured it yet. I will try and remember it by 6-3-1.

I will add that when the beeping turns solid you are a foot away from an obstacle, which is too much IMHO, I wish it would not turn solid till you are 4-6" away. My Superduty didn't turn solid till about 4" and it was handy for the tight quarters I have on my property. When it turns solid at a foot, you have no idea how much more you have because the tone is solid from 1 foot to zero, so that is essentially a blind guess zone.

I also figured, as near as I can tell, that the dotted lines on the sides of the 360 bird's eye view are about 12" from the stock tires.
I definitely agree. The solid beep shouldn’t occur until 4-6ā€ away. There’s plenty of times I want to be closer than 15ā€. Too bad this can’t be adjusted in Forescan.

I don't think the brakes will come on if you are going slow, I think that only works at higher speeds but I could be wrong
They will apply at slow speed. I was backing into a parking space the other day and the truck stopped and a warning came up with a loud noise. There were bushes behind me and an outlying branch got real close to one of the sensors.

Not useless… interesting. I’ll promptly forget, but thanks for making the effort!
Think Ford small block "351", (Cleveland or Windsor). Sure, it should be 5.5, but 5 is safe, and the numbers are not in the correct order, but that is easy enough to figure out.

I do this to remember the spark plug wiring on my Turbo Buick: HEMI/Cleveland.

I make even simpler!
I just think of the cube root of 149,721,291.

Actually I like that, I'll have to test with a cardboard box. I tested in front with a cardboard box and it did not stop.

If you have the hitch ball camera. It's pretty accurate. I use it to park in garage and clearance from the door

Every time I back down a driveway with flowers hanging where they can touch the bumper my Ranger throws the brake on pretty hard. I'm only going a reasonable reverse speed.

If I was going to test this I would test with a hanging sheet or cardboard.
