Anyone know if an aluminum high capacity transmission pan fits under aftermarket skid plate?

Looking to add something with a drain plug, additional capacity for trans fluid always a good thing.

Outstanding. Thanks for the confirmation and photos!

Yes, I have full skids and deep trans pan. Plenty of room.

Good to know as I have the same skid plates. Do you notice cooler temps?
I didn't, if anything they seemed a tad higher. I do pull an overland trailer that's about 3k and going up very steep grades out west.
I'm thinking the full skids might be blocking air flow so the cooling fins not getting to do their job.

I’m still on the stock pan and think I’m seeing higher temps. I’m going to pull the skid this weekend and see if that makes any difference. It was one of the tings I asked them about and was told it should not affect the trans temps.

The pan isn't going to pull away any meaningful amount of heat; the surface area of the fins is more of a gimmick than anything in terms of heat. If you need to cool the transmission more than what the liquid-to-liquid cooler can do (yes, the RR has liquid to liquide coolers for both the engine oil and transmission, all plumbed to the main radiator), then I think you're looking at a legitimate auxiliar cooler.

The Ranger Raptor Race truck ran 3x auxiliar coolers, one for front diff, one for rear diff and one for transmission. They left the oil cooler stock.
