Well, compared to a 23 I test drove, I think it rides comparable. To me, it has a much more comfortable ride. To clarify, I didn’t bail because I was tired of waiting. My transmission blew out on my old truck and I needed a vehicle. I had enough for a solid down payment so I sprung at this one. When my lariat order does come in, I will take a glance at it and maybe trade if I really love it. However I’m falling in love with my Colorado. Heated and cooled seats, rear air vents, and many more physical buttons!
Nice...Glad to hear it's working out. I've not driven in one yet, but want to. Also interested in driving the new Tacoma. Those will be coming soon.

In a perfect world, all these trucks would be sitting on lots and I'd be able to test drive them all before making a decision. There are things I love about all of them. The Ranger Raptor is a dream truck of mine and I'm really excited to get it, but I hate that they didn't include rear vents or ventilated seating like the other two competitors have.

I'm relieved that I have an allocation so if I don't like it, I can always flip it for profit and get one of the other trucks but I suspect I'll be keeping it. At least until summer when my back is sweating and in a rage, I trade it for something with ventilated seats. :)

Would be here but the strike threw a monkey wrench into the system. Be patient it will come. Once they get everything up and running they can pump out everything in a month or 2. I know prior to Covid they were producing 1500+ F150's in a week so the 3000+ Rangers won't take long to produce.

I have my fingers crossed that Ford will launch properly this time. With the shutdown with the holiday with the delays on the launch of the ranger. I hope they are taking this time too. Review quality and launch successfully. We will see.
We will see, but all ready botched this. Ordered in May still nothing, terrible communication, the whole retail vs stock order debacle on Raptor. Ford's launches have been absolute sh-- the past decade.

I still have one on order. But the longer this drags out, the more I'm leaning toward a trd pro. Local dealer has ne 1st on the list for one.

Strike didn't alter the bungled launch. That's all on Ford, yet again.

I AGREE. This whole process stinks. Between the strike / supply chain issues, now what? Why isn't the line moving? Where is the communication from Ford. If the Tacoma comes to market first - I'm jumping over to Toyota. The auto manufacturers are playing games with consumers, rather than producing and cutting prices to sell they just string along orders to maintain a fake supply shortage of certain models. I am supportive of labor talks and even understanding of supply chain issues but it's time to do what's needed and get things moving.

The TRD PRO isn't launching until spring 2024. That is a lot of time...

But the Raptor won't be out and in hands until then either, and very few. Plus each dealer is only getting one. Really no penalty for anyone switching to or considering a trd pro.

Tacomas start dropping this month. The hold up on trd pro is the ability to have ample imax hybrid motors available.

The Raptor has more hp, but the trd pro has significantly more torque and its available at only 1700 rpm. Will be interesting driving and comparing the two. Raptor will likely have more top end speed/power, but the trd pro should have more initial take off. Both look like they'll be great options and each has advantages/options over the other one.

Yea I bought last gen Z71 Colorado waiting for the 5G Ranger. I really liked the Z71 allot.

For me though it had one issue is the seats were not comfortable, I do no know if they are better in this next Gen.. Not such a big deal if you do not drive far but I spend sometime 12 hours + driving and they need to be comfortable. Ranger out of all my trucks owned was the most comfortable for longer distance.

Honestly I just do not get why Ford does not wait to announce till they have some stock. Announce a vehicle like 3 years before most can get them just pisses people off.

And they've done it for years. Bronco, t-bird, ranger, etc. They've lost a lot customers over the delays and botched launches. Don't promote a vehicle you can't even produce!!

Update time. The deed is done, new truck is home. Ford shit the bed on Ranger and this is actually a better option for MY needs I think: 2024 Nissan Frontier King Cab SV. Standard 310 hp naturally aspirated V6 and extremely smooth 9 speed auto that actually has a manual shift mode I can use in specific situations. Runs on 87 octane too.

Ford Ranger I bailed frontier front
Ford Ranger I bailed frontier drivers
Ford Ranger I bailed frontier passengers
Ford Ranger I bailed frontier rear
Ford Ranger I bailed Frontier Window sticker

Nice.
I recently contacted a Nissan dealer about one of these. I like it is a naturally asperated 6 cyl.
I have not test drove one yet.
Been kind of waiting for the Ranger and Taco to come out to see if Nissan will roll out some better deals once these other models hit the showrooms.

Do you really not see the justified increase in the new ranger? Its like miles above the previous gen in updating and is priced competitively in its market.

What everyone needs to realize is that non of us are paying customers. Not a single dime from you ordering has gone to ford and they owe you nothing in the meantime. Did they drop the ball on a lot of stuff? Sure, but you were never guaranteed a product or service and all timelines are subject to shifting. We have all created our own expectations and the disappointment does in large part lie on ourselves. The ranger is not going to be high demand like hybrid mavericks or broncos, im pretty positive outside of Raptors, no one is gonna get rolled over a model year.

I'm not trying to simp for them, but I played this song and dance with my maverick(SOLD) so I knew exactly how this would go. Order it, move on like normal until its going down the line and once its shipped, then maybe start to make your moves.
Actually my 2024 Lariat is $7,250.00 MSRP more than my 2023 once ordered….
