I paid $2,500 over MSRP for a 2025 Ranger Raptor I ordered, did I pay too much?

I paid 4k over ($62,900) for my red RR here in Orange County, CA. That did include a few add-ons though like the Lojack, Spray bedliner, Graphics package, Door Edge guards, etc.. Also got a $500 credit which I turned into a Tonneau cover.

The truck has already brought me more than 4k worth of smiles, and I haven't even jumped it yet.

As others said, it depends on you. I could have waited on my order (never pulled) or hoped one in a color I wanted showed up at my local dealers for MSRP, but instead I found one close by and paid roughly what you're being asked over msrp to get it that day. I wanted it and didn't want to wait any longer, so I pulled the trigger.

In your case, you may want to consider the ADM the price of not having to fly out of ID to get one and then use up some vacation days to drive it home. Considering the price of air travel, hotels, and gas, it'd be about a wash. Only negative, you're paying extra taxes on the ADM, but in the grand scheme of things it's best to consider it a convenience fee. Some people are okay with it, others no, and both are acceptable answers here even if we all agree ADM is pretty shitty. Only you can decide if that works for you.

No way would i feed this crap ripoff and pay over. People need to learn to be patient and walk away from overpriced vehicles. How would you like everybody else to stop sales and charge 4% over, because they're watching the automotive market.......Unless you're all stinking rich or working at Dealerships.

I paid 2K over when the RR first came out last spring.
I am really not sure what the supply and demand situation is looking like today.
That is normally what drives these ADMs.

If there is more than enough supply, then under MSRP and rebates etc etc begin to be seen.

IE. If there is plenty of dealer allocation for the 2025 models, then paying an ADM likely would not make sense.

When I bought mine last year, allocation was really tight, and most dealers were only allocated one without knowledge of if and when they would get any more. I doubt that that is the case for the 2025 models. But like I said, I don't really know what the 2025 allocation game is looking like now.

Thing is, the RRaptor is hard to find for some people in some areas. And some people feel that if they're spending $60K (give or take) they're going to get exactly what they want. So they're willing to pay a small premium to get exactly what they want instead of just buying the random RRaptor that happens to fall into a dealer's lot stock.

Who cares. Pay what you want to pay and drive the F out of it. I paid what I felt was comfortable for my checkbook back in March. I've put 6500 miles on it since delivery in June and I've only seen 3 others on the road in that time and one of them had southern plates on it (I live in New England). Nobody has a clue what it is and I have plenty of people asking if I'm at a gas station or getting into the truck at a store. Now I see that 2025 eliminated the red, so I have a 1 off color for 24 and no red option for 25.

Totally agree, I have the same experience in the other corner of the country, I also have the one off in cactus grey.
