If you got a build email, what was your Priority Code

I was told this same thing from my dealer. He told me no expected updates until November with Priority 20.

Production starts in September, we should be getting updates a lot sooner than November I’d hope

With them being stock orders no one will get emails. With Sept start of production, dealers are right to say it could be Oct or Nov before they see any action on these orders.

People need to chill as it's likely gonna be early 2024 for many on raptor orders.

At what point would a VIN be generated? Start of production? I was hoping dealers would just flip the orders to retail (I’ve heard they can but not sure)

Can't flip to retail. As they are only granted the one stock unit this round. Vin gets generated when the order gets pulled for production. But it can still be several months before it arrives.

huh- so all that “once a VIN is assigned we can assign it to you” talk to wasn’t accurate. Go figure- will just wait till the dealer to keep me posted then

My dealer sent this email to me on June 3rd so I have no reason to believe otherwise.

“I received an update from Ford today. They said once your Ranger is scheduled for production I can tag it in their system as yours. At that point you will be price protected!!
Have a great weekend”

Someone correct me if I am wrong;

Anyone who received an email directly from Ford and not a forwarded email from their dealership (that was originally addressed to the dealership) had their order put into the system incorrectly as a retail order.

Only the dealership would get an e-mail about a stock order.

This is correct.

The official order banks for the RR aren’t even close to being open. Ford shut that door right from the start.

For those saying that they put their “order” in are getting bamboozled by the dealerships.

The ones that were lucky enough to snag one of the allocated, non-customizable units at MSRP (rare) or ADM, congrats!

Be patient RR fans. Hopefully we’ll get our chance to bring one home.

Yeah they were at least open for a little while. A bunch of people here got retail email confirmation. My dealer messaged me a week after launch saying he converted my order to stock, so it seems a lot of dealers were late to get the memo, and or, Ford was late to shut down retail ordering.

I got the email and I confirmed that my order was entered as stock. When I got the email, I was priority code 80 but I've since been upgraded to 20.

You won't get an email from ford on a stock order as the order is not yours, its the dealerships. Ford only sends emails to customers on retail orders.

You are not who the vehicle or order belongs to on a stock unit until you purchase it.

Ford doesn't even know who you are or that you're interested at this point so no reason for them to email you.

They were customizable. Dealer could've ordered their stock unit like u wanted it. Mine did for me.

I had a dealer reach out to me today and told me the retail orders for the Ranger Raptor opened up about a week ago and was asking if I wanted to order one. What was that about? Did something change or was he misinformed?
