Your 1 and 2 make more sense to me. However your number 3 just seems ridiculous. Regardless of how much or little inventory is on the dealers lots. It won’t make me not get my Ranger Raptor, it won’t make me buy a F150 or anything else.. If I don’t get my Ranger I’ll get nothing. I’m not desperate to have any truck, I have any truck already. I’ve heard this same thought process so many times it’s just backwards thinking.
let’s build all these trucks not release them in hopes these people will buy our other truck. It’s just such a odd theory to me.
I don't disagree that is sounds ridiculous. However, I have been around too many corporate suits which makes me believe they would think that they can convert High End Ranger buyers to Lower End F150 owners. Of course I don't know if Ford is capable of this :)

Why would they be building 2.7L trucks when right now they only offer 2.3L and the Raptors?
What I was told at auto show by factory guy...ones built before strike are in them lots...not going OUT..after strike and holidays they started building trucks again..
Why everyone was pushed back...first run trucks had clearance problems with wire looms ect. 2.7 were overheating and no fix so their in lot...says build 300 a week..takes 3 hrs to go down line to be build...running 3 shifts now that f150 lightning shut down...says be a month before u see it from built date...what I was told

They could convert me from a Ranger Raptor to an XL F150 if the F150 had dual exhaust, FX4, black out package and V8 for 40-42k. I saw one for 47k that I was about to make a very low offer for but then my Raptor order got confirmed. At 47k, I rather stick to the Raptor which is only 8k more and won't depreciate in value like an XL F150 will.

I doubt there are many if any 2023 Rangers still sitting on lots.
I am sorry, no I did not refer to Rangers, no there are no Rangers on lots for the past many months. I was responding to the thread when someone mentioned F150, the dealers did not want F150 with all the 23's sitting on then lot. although many of them are gone and 24 f150 are on the way now
