J braces back in stock

I saw this post that they were in stock, and promptly ordered them for my Raptor. Got shipping notification 4 days ago. However, tracking only shows the label was created and it wasn't shipped. Sigh.

I'm curious as to what's gonna happen with my Raptor tomorrow.

My appointment for the window software recall is tomorrow and the Dealer has the bed braces install listed on the things they're going to do.

I know for a fact that they haven't installed them on a Ranger Raptor, because there are only 2 in the area at the moment, and mine is first of the two to get it's window software recall done.

I know I could do it myself, so I'm going to be asking quite a few questions once I get there so I don't get a call later on saying they can't do it or telling me I need to make another appointment because they need to take it to a local body shop to have it done. (They don't have an in-house body shop)

Got mine today, and since I didn't really feel like working anyway, went ahead and installed them. Not really a bad job, but the whole time I had that whole "WTF? Why do I gotta do this on a brand new truck?" thought going through my head. Well it's done! YAY!

I'm not doing much better - my tracking still only shows shipping label created.

Funny that they make early adopters pay to fix an engineering design flaw, but if you buy a truck after like 9/12 or something they fixed the issue.

Ford themselves say (on the official TSB for this) that it's only necessary to install if you plan on offroading with a camper shell. They even say specifically "extreme offroad conditions".

Very likely unnecessary and a waste of money for the vast majority of people. There's a lot of chickenlittles on this forum who think crawling the mall parking lot or driving a gravel road requires j-braces.

I'll remind everyone here that there hasn't been a single 6G ranger owner that has had any confirmed/verified issues occur from not having j-braces and the trucks have been out for over 2 years now.

Update; never mind. The Ford web site won't accept autofill for order information. Once I manually entered my personal details it accepted the form.

Update update. when i ordered these from Ford on 10/21 they showed in stock to be shipped 10/24. Now I am in the dreaded 'Processing' hold and they appear to be out of stock if you want to order a new set. How long have people waited to have Ford fulfill the order for the non Raptor load box braces?

I'm not holding my breath for that. LOL My credit card charge is also pending so at least they didn't collect and sit on the order for who knows how long. I don't need them as I am currently only planning to put a Gator FX tonneau on my XLT(due tomorrow, yay). I wanted the braces just in case downstream I want to do something else, or use the truck to do other truck stuff requiring something heavier than a kayak on the bed rails.

Canceled it outright as far as I can tell. And now they are out of stock.
