Looking to upgrade the rims on my Ranger raptor

+25 to +35 offset is your best bet to fit 35's with min trimming

705's in +35mm provide a very ideal off-set (according to GOAT off-road, +35 to +40mm offsets are ideal for larger tires, or even stock tires). Ford's OE wheel off-set ranges from +55 out to +30mm on the Bonco's (except raptor).

Why the 705's? It's Methods lightest weight beadgrip wheel. Obviously the beadgrip is quite handy for aired down conditions and performs 90% of what a true bead-lock can do, but its road legal and doesn't require specialized shops to install.

705's come in +35mm off-set, ideal range for larger tires (gives some clearance to the UCA for wider tires but doesn't require as MUCH trimming as +25 or more aggressive off-sets). Pair that with GOAT 2" F / 1" R strut spacers, FMI UCA (some have aid FMI's UCA design is better than GOATS), ride height sensor cal with Forescan and an alighment, you should be pretty good.

That seems to be the general requirements for larger tires without screwing up the Fox Live Valve shock performance, killing ride quality or screwing up overall handling / driveability. 703's are also a really good choice and by far the most popular, but the 705's offer all the same sizes, features and load ratings at about 3lbs less per wheel.

Tire and wheel weight is a big consideration for most going to 35's, trying to keep wheel and tire weight minimized so as not to kill acceleration, braking and overall response of the truck. I personally really like the trapezoid pattern of the split 10 spoke design and think it matches well with the rugged / industrial look of the 2g Ranger.

Ridge grapplers have a very short life expectancy, I really liked them on a Land Cruiser 200 but the tread wear was very fast. They are soft. Some reviewers mention great mileage, I never experienced that.

FYI they do not have a tread wear warranty. Other Nitto models may have one.

I have really enjoyed my Method + 35 - 703’s. Not only do I like the matte black and offset on my black RR they are the easiest wheel I’ve ever owned to clean. Very few places for dirt and water to hide and the openings are the perfect size for my towel wrapped hand to quickly wipe out the wheel. The stock RR wheel is just the opposite, lots of small crevices requiring more detail work and time. I hated them!

All in all the 703 is a simple wheel but not too simple.
