Alrighty boys and girls…. It had been suggested by another member that I pick up these items when I picked up my RR and joined this forum. I had actually seen them listed on Amazon already and had them saved in one of my many wish lists for various projects around here. Needless to say I was quite please when I received these.

AMAZON LINK

First up was the dual tray center console organizers. Even though I found the original single half length tray from the factory as useful, it still left an out of control pile of charging cables and other stuff down at the bottom of the console. Now after a couple weeks of using the dual trays and a recent road trip I can honestly say they are very much worth the asking price on Amazon. Each tray has 2 or 3 divided sections with some rubberized type liners to help keep things from sliding around. I have found the sections useful for cables, cards, gas receipts, and those other items that are useful to have in your vehicle.

The next item was the hidden compartment that goes on the underside of the center console lid. This is a slick little box! Color and texture are a near perfect match to the center console and cause it to blend in quite nicely to where you might not notice it at a quick glance. I found this to be a good spot to keep my registration and insurance information hidden, but readily available. I really don’t like leaving anything with my address in the vehicle, but this seems to be a good place to keep it in my opinion. Installation wast quite easy, wipe down the underside of the console lid with some alcohol, remove the backing on the 3 adhesive strips on the storage compartment, and attach to lid… Nice and simple.

Love my hidden organizer too. I added a few extra strips of 3m tape to it, that sucker isn't moving anywhere.

My hidden storage compartment went in the trash. It fell off many times. I even added more 3m tape and it turns to goo in the hot sun. Didnt help that my truck is black. I imagine in got up to 350 degrees inside the Ranger on summer days. 👎🤮

My paint is Cactus Grey and with a sandstone interior it gets hot but not that hot. I have a interior temp gauge and have never seen over 100F also use a window shade.

First off, love the Lifecard sitting in there! 😂

You mentioned the factory "single half length tray" - did our Rangers come with one of those? Mine sure as hell didnt!

Would it be possible to use some short sheet metal screws or something?

I have this kit, but only ordered the bottom two trays. I see the utility of the skinny compartment that nestles into the console lid, but I preferred to keep the vertical space above the top tray that the lid scallop provides. Unfortunately, it's a zero sum choice.

Tip for getting that tape to stick: Adhesion promoter. I haven't had any of my 3M VHB things fall off, even when it was >120° inside the truck

I have had this for the last year & like it. I think this is more useable than the 3 divided ones. My wife & I can dump all our crap out of our pockets in it for a road trip or running around town.

The LifeCard is quite the novelty item and is probably more useful as a paperweight as seen in that picture. :like: I thought it was a pretty ridiculous purchase, so I one upped myself and got the .32!

Here is the factory tray that came with my RR. It was great for holding a few items, but then everything below it disappeared into a black hole.

I think only Lariat's and RR got them?
I bought a tray on Fleabay for $25.
It works to hold a few small items so i dont have to go digging deep into the console .

Yeah I have the 2 compartment one and I never access the stuff below as its a pain, so I've been thinking to take the top layer off and just use the deep one.
