I've been trying to find a bed rack that is compatible with a folding tonneau, what are you looking at getting?
I looked high and low for something that works with a folding and the number is very low. My issue is I have a 7ft parking garage so I wanted to keep the rack a bit lower, maybe the higher up ones would work? I got the rove Offroad one out of Toronto. It’s 15 inches plus another 2 for the tonneau adapters, Im going to sell my folding for a soft roll up for under the bed rack.
the issue is a lot of the bed racks angle in a bit, I figure if you got something like the tuxedo elevate it may work!

Yeah, same man that was my dilemma. But at the end of the day for me, the tunnel cover is just to keep some privacy of what’s in the bed. A soft roll up for me probably won’t have the same amount of security, but I don’t keep that much stuff in the bed anyways so I can live with a compromise.

Finally got my bedrack and got it installed. Overall pretty happy with it. Made in Canada, shipped from Toronto, has room to fit my bike and it’s tonneau compatible! I like the little Canada maple leafs, and overall I think it’s aesthetically a solid looking rack!
However I think has a few downfalls that I’ll have to figure out.
First thing, the c clamps they sent were too small for the new Ranger. I assume it was built for a 5th gen as the clamps were too short. I ended up going and buying bigger ones that worked out well. (85$ later) however I’m not confident they will work with a roll up tonneau as advertised, I guess you could drill into the rails from the top down and that would solve a lot… but there’s no going back from that!
I also kinda wish it had black hardware as the silver sticks out like a sore thumb, but I can plasti dip them easily.

Took the new rack out for a spin to make sure everything was mounted right. Made some… interesting noises which I hope is just cause it’s new… and the flexy bed with a solid rack on top probably doesn’t help. Sure would suck if I did need those braces after all. Lol

Wired up some reverse/scene/chase lights. Fairly easy install but hiding the wires and fishing them through stuff under the truck was a bit of a B, but we got er. Diode dynamics SSC2 Pro floods with the amber backlight. I also got the yellow lens covers for dusty days.
Heading down to Oregon for a week if anyone has any spot recommendations!

Looks awesome man! What are the details on that tonneau? And how does it fit, just the weather seals on the tonneau cover rails that move out of the way of the rack clamps?

Thanks dude! Sorry for the late response I’ve been really busy!
The tonneau cover is a truxedo low profile soft roll up. I’ve attached some pics to show how I did it. I did have to drill into my rails to mount the bedrack with the tonneau.
The tonneau itself attached to pre existing holes. However my one rack bracket covers one of them so I had to drill a new one!
Due to the brackets it wasn’t 100% waterproof, (I know nothing is) but it was just draining into the bed so I ran a bead of silicone down where the tonneau rails meet the bed caps.

Welcome to my 2024 Ranger FX4 XLT cactus build! I wanted to make a little thread to document my build for fun.
Comingfrom a 2021 tremor I was a bit worried, but I’m happy to have the freedom to do what I want to it as the tremor had limited lift options and such. So far this thing has been amazing and I couldn’t be more stoked.
Day 1
13474137-745E-43EA-BB6C-DB69A49C7734.webp

I started immediately by removing the air dams, bed side decals, and adding my red rocket hitch recovery point!

IMG_3072.webp

Next was pretty big, level, tires, wheels.
Bronco Bilstein 5100’s with OME coil/Top Hat.
Toyo open country 285/70/17’s
Black rhino wheels 17x9 +25mm

IMG_3183.jpeg
IMG_3186.jpeg
IMG_3184.jpeg

Next up, was ditch lights, tailgate letters, switch panel, step removal, and tonneau cover.
AuxBeam Switches
Diode Dynamics amber combo lights.
Bison Hard Tri fold tonneau cover

IMG_3900.jpeg

Next up will be GoRhino rb20 slims and then will chill for a bit, but I hope to keep updating this thread as it
I’m also trying to figure out some sort of mounting method for maxtrax, rotopax and such. Maybe a bed rack or bed mounting. Not sure yet!
Anyways. Thanks for your time, hope you can gain some info for your builds!

I have the same truck 2024 XLT FX4 4X4 with 2.3. I'm interested in changing out the shocks too. Can you in as much detail as you can describe the ride difference between stock fx4 and bilstein 5100.
Off road and on road etc...
Thanks

Sounds like we always have to do some DIYing for solutions haha. Would be nice if someone made a rack that bolted directly into the stake pockets. Thanks for the detailed explanation and pictures!

Looks awesome! I just picked up a '25 XLT FX4 in Desert Sand with the 2.7L.
I just measured the wheel to bottom of wheel arch and the driver side is 1/2" lower than passenger side, both in front and back! WTH?? I expected 2" front to back (which it is) but 1/2" side to side...?

No real updates on the truck lately! Been status quo for a bit. Lots of trips done this summer and still running great.
HOWEVER I’d love to give a massive shoutout to my GoRhino side steps for saving my truck body yesterday. I know they aren’t sliders and aren’t meant to be, but i wanted some protection in the event I take a bad line or something… and well, it happened, they took most the weight of my truck, and stayed off the body. They definitely bent the brackets, but they did exactly what I needed them to do. Pretty happy about that!

That is pretty much standard issue with the rangers.
