My FX4 Build

After 5k miles and lurking on this forum for ideas, here is my build:

• '24 Carbon Gray FX4
• 18" Bronco OBX wheels, powder coated matte black
• 265/70r18 Nitto G3
• 1-1/2" Truxxx level (leaving 3/4" rake)
• Sumosprings
  • Springs are touching where there should be a 1/4"-1/2" gap, working with customer support
• 5G rear headrest (these fold down, can lower rear seat without having to move fronts)
• Lomax bed cover
• Weathertech floor mats
• Rival gas tank skid
  • Still need to find a transmission skid
• Plasti-dip front and rear badges
• N-Fab Trailsliders

My FX4 came with a transmission skid plate. Did yours not come with one?

On ebay. This is the part number for my variation but should give you a starting point on your search.

As far as I know, Ford doesn't have a OEM transmission skid, I do have the standard skids for front, engine, and transfer case. The transmission is exposed and has a plastic pan/cover that could get damaged.

It’s a DIY. Super simple to do. You can find vids on YouTube showing how and can pick up Plasti-dip at most hardware or automotive stores.

Not sure, if was factory/done by dealer.

When you put the spacers in, did you have to take the strut assembly out and flip it around?

I had a local shop do it so don't know. The tech didn't mention anything so I assume it went together fine.
