I have a 2024 Ranger XLT with just under 19,000 miles. At least twice in the last couple weeks (that I know of) it has remote started on its own. It could have happened other times and I just didn't know. I did not accidentally start it with my phone or with the keys. My brother has access with his Ford app and he did not do it either. The 2 times I am aware of were at about the same time, just before 9am. I checked my app and there are no scheduled starts. I'm baffled and a little freaked out that this is going to happen while the truck is in my garage. Thoughts?

Both you and your brother have the app tied to your truck?
maybe he's pranking you, or has a scheduled start on his phone.
I've talked to him and he isn't doing it. I trust him 100%

Maybe deleting the app and reinstall. I’ve had several of my apps (not the Ford app) over the last month have just gone wonky. Delete and reinstalled did help a couple.

Thanks- I was actually just thinking I might try that. I'm waiting until tomorrow morning to see if it happens again at the same time.

Does it behave like a remote start where if you get in the vehicle you still have to press the start button again with the fob nearby to unlock the ability to shift and drive?

Occam's Razor suggests it's someone else who has remote access to your truck. Start by eliminating the obvious causes. Remove your brother's access and see if it stops.

The XLT doesn't have a start button- you have to use the key. It behaved like a regular remote start and shut off after 15 minutes.

He's not doing it, but if it happens again tomorrow the same way I will first delete and reinstall the app. Next step after that will be deleting his access in case it's some kind of a fluke. I gave him access in the event of my being locked out he could use his app to unlock it. (Long story but it happened to me once)
