Been lurking here a long time….first post. Thanks to everyone that has provided advice over the past several years!

Back in the day when Ford dealers could expect just one or perhaps two Ranger Raptors, I didn’t even bother to try finding an allocation fearing ADM. Then more RRs appeared, but here in the Atlanta metro area, dealers are asking $5, 10, even 15K over MSRP. Wouldn’t even entertain that pricing on principle.

Kept looking and one week ago I was able to locate a RR in carbonized gray, my first color choice. Rural Georgia dealer started at $2K over MSRP, but as the month was about to come to a close, sold it at MSRP with no additional profit add ons such as paint protection, edge guards, etc.

Previously owned an F-150 Raptor and I love the RR just as much, perhaps even more due to the smaller size and maneuverability. I have had the RR for one week and added the mud flaps, tint on the front door windows to match the rears and installed a Retrax Pro MX tonneau cover (I had a Pro MX on the F-150).

Satisfied with the fit, finish and performance. All seems good at this point. The only items that disappoint is the quality of the front seat surfaces which appear wrinkled and the haphazard way they installed the “Ford Performance” sill guards which are crooked and trigger my OCD when entering the vehicle. :-(
Finally, a grab handle on the driver’s side would have been nice.

Looking forward to many years of enjoyment with the Raptor!

Congrats! I am debating trading my 8,900 miles 2021 F150 Platinum Powerboost FX4 which has all options for a Ranger Rapor. I hate giving up some of the goodies in the F150, but the smaller size and the fact it will fit in my garage are nice perks. Out here in California, finding one at MSRP has thus far been elusive during my two month search. I found one at MSRP but they wouldn't take my truck on trade, but have been able to negotiate down to $1,000-$1,500 ADM with several other dealers. In the scope of things, that's not terrible. One dealer I reached out to today hit me with $25K ADM. I sent back an LOL email, so for you Cali folks, avoid Galpin!

Enjoy the new ride!

Yup, CA dealers are mostly greedy stealerships. Have you tried Ford Finder Facebook group? I believe I saw a RR posted for MSRP in Northern Cali a few weeks back.

Why won’t they take your trade?

I know exactly how you feel, one of mine is like that also. Dealer said they'd take care of it next time I'm in.

Congratulations!! I approve of your choices! I have done the same with mine, plus a stubby antenna and a set of amber LEDs for the grill.

Congratulations on your new Ranger Raptor! I actually ordered mine in December 2023 and it came in the 15th of August. Have put on the bed cover and bed liner. The Raptor is great except I am short and have trouble getting in the truck. I am an older guy and feel that it looks funny seeing me try to get into my Raptor. Any suggestions from anyone? Again Congrats.

$25K ADM is just ridiculous. Don't feed the beast. Look online at the Ford No Markup pages on Facebook. Private sale the F150 as the dealers will lowball you on that.

At least i am not alone on the sill guards. Thankfully, they got the exterior graphics on straight!

Like I said, it would have been nice if Ford included a grab handle on the driver's side. I mount the running board with my left foot and pull myself in using the steering wheel. Really nothing else to grab onto. More suggestions welcomed!

Dealers are still trying to use their ADM tactics to see what, if anything, will stick.

To follow-up, I kept a lookout and a new Ranger Raptor popped up about 100 miles away from me in the ordered state. I reached out to the dealership offering them $1,500 over MSRP on a Cactus Gray w/ Graphics, Block Heater, and Beadlock Wheels. They responded that they don't ever charge over MSRP and that they would check to see if it was available. An hour later I got an email saying it was available at MSRP and I put a $500 deposit on it. It has a window sticker, so it shouldn't be too far off from being built. I will say that out here, the dealerships in CA are really proud of the vehicles they sell. Me being a Ford customer for over 20 years meant jack crap to them. This new dealership who I've never done business with could have said "Yeah, we'll take your $1,500 over offer", but instead came back to me that MSRP is all they need. Wow.

They probably will appreciate a shout-out if you are happy with the experience after you take delivery. I hope you get it soon.
Yes, there are dealers out there that are not greedy.

Yeah. I've been texting with the guy I'm working with and he's super nice and helpful. They even sold Raptor R's at MSRP. I guess they have found that not screwing with the price makes it much easier to do business, and that probably results in more business. The truck I inquired about wasn't listed last night on the Ford inventory site, but popped up when I checked this morning. I figured I'd hit them up, fully expecting to be told to pound sand, but nope. Three other dealers I inquired about newly dropped Ranger Raptors either wouldn't take a deposit, or said my offer was well below reality. lol. Now, keep in mind I have been working on this since July, so you must be patient and that's something which I am not. I can't vouch for them 100%, but if you're out this way and want to deal with a dealership that seems like no BS, The Ford Store Morgan Hill is who I'm working with. Having contacted about 25 dealerships throughout CA, they are the only one who responded with an MSRP offer.
