Looking for a reliable portable tire inflator with digital display. Want one I can turn on, set the required PSI, inflate tires fairly quickly and accurately, and it cuts off when the PSI is reached. Don't have or need an air compressor, just want something I don't have to guess at by looking at a needle gauge or plug into the wall to use and then have to drag it around the truck on an extension cord. Quality and reliability more important than price.

If you own any Milwaukee 18 volt tools the 18 volt inflator is supposed to be very good. I own the 12 volt one and it works great but slow on truck tires, I use it mostly for bikes and wheelbarrows etc or for a car if I'm just topping off, real handy. I kind of wish I'd gone with the 18 volt though. Both of them you can pre-set and they shut off automatically with digital LCD screens.

Unfortunately I don't have Milwaukee, just Craftsman 20V. Thanks for the response.

I have the dewalt inflator. it’s not fast. But you can set the psi and it will shut off.

essy to top off tires.

it can run off 12volt or a battery.

can inflate air mattress and the like seems accurate enough

I thought the Milwaukee was supposed to be fast?

I use the Viair 400 P. Not digital nor auto shut off. 12 volt. I use a powerwinch male/female set up instead of the battery alligator clips. Not as "auto" as your looking for but extremely strong and easy to use. Long cord and hose and accurate/ secure gauge and air fill.

Whatever you decide I think an important feature is that it can run from different power sources. If it has it's own internal battery and you go to use it and the battery is dead you're screwed, but if you get one that uses changeable power tool batteries, or can connect to the truck battery if it's own source goes dead you've at least got some backup options.

They do have those combo units with air and jump pack all in one, I haven't looked at any though. There was a thread on them but I don't remember if it was here or on another forum.

For portability and ease of use, I went with Fannttik ones in each of our vehicles and motorcycles well as in our garages. I also give them out as presents as I think they are great. Costco has had them this time of year the past couple of years which makes them more affordable.

They have been fantastic and are a set it and forget it as well as easily rechargeable. My $.02

I run the M18 inflator, I’ve used it 5 or so years now to air up atv to 40 inch tires I have mine set and I can forget it while I move around the vehicle to get the valve stem off and ready for the next hook up. The only time I’ve ever felt like the M18 was slow was when I ran 2 lines off of the main supply to get 2 tires at once but most people won’t be doing this and it wasn’t super slow just not the normal time for air up situations. If you want to run a 12v setup I got a Napa branded compressor and it’s small enough to fit in a small bag I take it when I’m out in the winter in case a battery is going to be running out. Looking to get the M12 for the portability of a backpack on trails I ride on my atv.

I own one of these - pricey and more than you need with the jumpstart, but I do recommend.

That looks pretty nice and I'm seeing good reviews on it. Does it have a preset feature so you can walk away while it's airing up? I'm seriously thinking about getting one for my motorhome. It could also be good backup for when you're way offroad somewhere in case onboard air fails, or truck/Jeep battery goes dead. My Jeep is a stick so a dead battery never worried me much but the Ranger would be dead in the water.

They are on back order/pre-order at $254, I suppose the tariffs drove them up. The review I saw said $219.
