Anyone have any knowledge and/or guesses how much more it will be to upgrade to the 2.7 engine vs the 2.3?

For the Bronco it's a $1895 upgrade so probably around that price point.
Thank you! Didn’t even think to check the Bronco.

Anyone have the 2.3L? I haven't seen much online about it. My concerns are reliability mostly. I'm coming from a 17 Grand cherokee so it should be around the same power which is fine for me.
Will the 2.3L be enough?

On the Bronco the 1895.00 is 2.7tt and 10 speed trans.
Ranger only comes with the 10 speed trans. so the cost should be lower

The 2.3 has been around for a while so the bugs should be all worked out of it. Now the 10 speed tranny has had some problems but it should all be fixed by now.

I've got the 2.3 in my 21' Ranger Tremor. It's been very reliable and has proven to be a great engine for towing/hauling. It has no problem towing 7500 Lbs. Right now I've got 60k miles and haven't had any powertrain issues.

No, it’s $1895. When you select the 2.7 ($1895), it automatically adds the 10-speed ($1595), so your net increase is $3490. You can get the 10-speed separately with the 2.3 for $1595, and if you then add the 2.7 it tacks on the $1875…

2.3 has plenty of power and torque. Love it on my 2019 Lariat Ranger 4x2.

I’ve got the 2.3 in my Ranger Tremor with a Livernois tune. It is good. Great power.

I have the 2.7 in my Bronco and the torque is phenomenal. Going back to the 2.3 is a different world.

I’m waiting for the 2.7. The 2.7 is also dual port/ direct injection, so no carbon build up issues.
