you guys are all lucky, my Lariat came out of production and shipped 08/26 by rail to Toronto (Canada) and arrived on 09/06 and has been sitting there since. Delivery by truck (to Ottawa) went from 09/12, 09/16 and now 09/20. My dealer told me that they are waiting for a full truck load before it hits the road to dealers. Duh!!

I have a total of 32 miles on it All in Eco mode.
I like to break them in easy.
Cool!

Ok, 2.7L early adopters. What is the verdict of the Ranger 2.7L? Is it everything you hoped for? I only got to drive one for 10 minutes.

Have less than 300 break in miles in less than a week, but it is zippy! Have not really pushed it yet. Few more miles and I'll head up into the mountains to stretch its legs and will get a good feel for it. Happy so far..runs pretty smooth.

Dito- same here. About 300+ miles. Dont want to push mine yet either. I did have to punch it once and YES IT MOVES! Great on corners - very little dip. Smoothe and quiet on tollway. Freddie Mercury and Moon never sounded better on 4 wheels. Lariat - Azure. Everything except FX. Just had it ceramic coated. Reaktrac retractable and rug just installed. Looks fantastic! Installing KEKO tailgate seal as we speak.

Nearing the end of the break in period, just under 1k miles. Took it to the mountains yesterday for a scenic loop on a dirt road through Rocky Mountain National Park. Didn’t really test it’s off-road abilities this time but I look forward to taking it on more technical routes in the future.

Lots of thoughts and initial impressions about the truck overall. But I do have to say the V6 engine was worth the wait. I’ve been real gentle on the gas pedal and kept it in eco mode a lot but it just wants to GO. I put 91 octane gas in it and saw my average MPG go up by 2. The truck always feels like it’s got plenty of power on standby if you need it. No hate at all to the 2.3 I4, but the difference between the two is stark.

Yes, the white looks great--it was my 2nd choice. I ordered silver. Happy to hear that the V6 is living up to your expectations. I have a 21-hour drive home when I pick up mine, so I will be doing MPG calculations to see what kind of gas mileage it gets. Hoping it won't be too much less than the 2.3. I'm a little worried about the break-in period where you aren't supposed to drive at the same speed for too long. I may take some back roads to mix it up a little!
Shift between eco and sport modes (or others) to mix the rpm range up at highway speeds. Don’t rely on cruise control for the trip either.

So it turns out I won’t be doing the trip with a new Ranger XLT after all. I ended up buying a used Ranger Raptor instead. Although I am a little sad that I will not take delivery of my brand news Ranger XLT, it is consoling each time I get behind the wheel of the Ranger Raptor :)

Also, according to Ford tracking, my special order silver XLT with a 2.7 and FX4 was delivered on Friday. If anyone is looking, reach out to Shanna at Laura Ford in Sullivan, Missouri. It’s fully loaded and they offer below MSRP pricing.

My Lariat build date was originally scheduled for August 9. I then received an email telling me due to a lack of parts it was pushed back. I finally received an email on August 25th saying my truck was finished and was being readied for shipment. I just received it on September 13th,

That’s awesome, so happy for you. My truck shipped on 9/5, 16 days later it arrived at the dealership. I’ll be picking it up tomorrow.
