Raptor horn honking on Lock/Unlock

Probably a long shot, but you never know... My 2025 Ranger Raptor's horn honks when I lock and unlock it. I simply do not like it. Most autos audibly alert you when you lock or unlock a vehicle, but most are a minor chirp, not a blowing of the horn, which is loud (why Ford?). I know I'm being nick-picky, but I'd be fine with the vehicle flashing the lights only. I've been through all the user adjustable settings, but nothing will stop the horn from blowing when I lock or unlock the vehicle.

I have a scanner and the ForScan software and understand how to use it to modify settings via the ODB2 port, but I can't find any setting in the BdyCM module that will modify this situation. There is setting called "Double Lock on leaving cabin", but that only mutes the horn when the engine is running and you exit the vehicle with the keys.

Anyone have any thoughts? Again, I know I'm being nick-picky...

Pretty sure this in a simple toggle option in the settings on the main screen

try going to:
Settings - vehicle - locks

there should be an option for ‘lock and unlock feedback’. I’m pretty sure you can disable the honk

there’s a bunch of options in there from memory from audible feedback to just having the blinkers flash… I’m not near my car so I can properly check, but from memory it’s all there and a simple toggle to disable

Here’s the settings in my RR, weird how you don’t have them? My software is on version 6.16.0

Mislock chirp and Audible feedback were the first things I tried. They are both off in my truck and it still honks when it is locked and unlocked. Mislock chirp will "Chirp if a door is not properly closed when the vehicle is locked". Audible feedback " Allows vehicle to Chirp or beep twice if you lock the vehicle remotely TWICE within 3 seconds". When off, neither of these settings stop the horn from honking when I normally lock the truck either with the remote or door handle.

So, if you press the lock button on the door and then close from the outside, the horn honks?

You may have a glitch? My very late 2024 only honks if I double press the lock button on the fob. Single press, and the lights blink. Double press and she honks. Pretty sure it has never honked on unlock.

Might be worth dropping by the dealer?

Take it in to be serviced. This isn't normal function.

My 2025 Ranger Raptor will randomly honk the horn twice when you open (the unlocked) door. There is no pattern to this, just an occasional reminder that these trucks have some "bugs".

The way Entopics described his truck is the way I'd like my truck to work.

With Mislock Chirp and Audible Feedback both OFF:
A single LOCK press on the FOB locks the doors, honks the horn once and the lights flash. If, (within 3 seconds), I Press LOCK a second time, I get a double honk and lights flash. If I lock the truck, then press LOCK a second time after waiting 3 seconds, the lights flash only (no honk). After that, every subsequent LOCK press simply flashes the lights.

If the truck is locked and I single press UNLOCK, the truck unlocks, the horn beeps twice and lights flash. A second UNLOCK press simply flashes the lights.

Also, If I lock the truck with the driver's side door open then close the door, the horn sounds 3 times (to let me know a door is ajar). When I close the door the horn sounds again, the truck is locked and the lights flash.

I need to find out if other 2025 Ranger Raptors do the same as mine. Getting a dealer to modify something like this will be difficult.

Yeah mine is same as this ^^ single press, and lights blink, double press and she honks. 2024 Ranger XLT 2.7
