Remote window rollup

Seems I have an issue with the remote fob window roll up. Hold the lock button down and all windows roll up except rear passenger window? Anyone else run into similar issue?

I push unlock three times, with about 1 second between pushes, holding the button on the third push to roll down windows. Push lock the same way to roll windows up. I never held the unlock button down to experience this problem.

There might be a problem with the bounce back of that window? I think the window wont go up automatically if it doesn't have a bounce back set

Bounce back is when the window will stop and roll back down should it detect it's hit something (like a finger) - if there is no bounce back set then it will only go up when holding the window up/down button from that door

There's a procedure in the owner's manual on how to override the bounce back, but nothing about resetting it. Maybe it was overridden by accident?

Press and hold that window button down until it goes all the way down, then 3 more seconds. Now hold up until closed and then 3 more seconds. You have now recalibrated that window and all 4 will work now.

It's called 'Global Window opening and closing' - there is a setting you need to enable for it to work:

From settings menu, select 'Vehicle' then 'Windows' and confirm 'Global Open' is enabled

You can then press and release the unlock button on your keyfob and within one second press and hold unlock and all windows should open for as long as you hold the button. It works in reverse to close the windows with the lock button

SSM 52727 2024 Ranger/Nautilus - Inoperative Global Opening/Closing Feature

Some 2024 Ranger/Nautilus vehicles may exhibit an inoperative global opening/closing feature. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-11 for normal diagnostics. If normal diagnostics do not resolve the issue, inform the customer that Ford is currently working on a solution for this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

More than likely the auto window open/close isn’t toggled on.

To access the menus, look at the top left hand corner of the screen. You’ll see three buttons. Press the second button, this will access the users menus. Look under vehicle; windows.

First, check and see in the infotainment menu under vehicle, is toggled on. There are two toggles, one for open and one for close. Turn them both on. Exit the menus.

turn off the ignition and lock the doors. Walk a few feet away from the truck. Then holding the key fob, press the unlock button holding it for longer than 3 seconds for them to open. All 4 windows will open all the way

When locking the doors with the windows in any position, shut off the truck get out and hold the lock button for longer than 3 seconds. Windows will close all the way.

My RR built 8/24 doesn’t have this feature either. Looking at the infotainment screen, when I go to “Vehicle” there is no “Windows” soft key. I’ll take a photo tomorrow.
