Ah yes lets change everything because some refuses to learn how software works. I assume you are also the same kind of person who clicks every download button on every ad and wonders why their computer is slow.

Its 2024, computers have worked like this for a long time.
Ah yes, let's just accept buggy software from a $60k truck because that's just how computers have worked for a long time. While we're at it, let's throw in a little personal insult to someone's intelligence who dares to complain about the software not working in their brand new truck.

Name software that isnt buggy? Every single computer and software has issues across the board. I can literally search on the internet for any vehicle infotainment and find people reporting bugs. So yes, we do have to just accept it., welcome to 2024 in general.

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is some software that I wrote 10 years ago that is still in production today.

But beyond that, there is software in the market that works much better than what I've seen from Ford in the last few years. Hell, even Windows 10 and 11 works better than Sync software! And when Microsoft software doesn't work well, I reserve the right to complain about it and let them know they need to resolve a problem.

Every single computer and software has issues across the board.
Really? "Every single computer and software"? Wow! And of course you have proof of this grandiose statement and aren't relying on some anecdotal statement like, "I can literally search on the internet for any vehicle infotainment and find people reporting bugs."

Yes, many people are assholes in 2024, and I guess we just have to accept it.

Do better. Be the exception.

If you think microsoft software works well, you have never actually used it beyond installing on your pc. I dont expect a non-it person to understand how buggy software is in general. Everything has bugs or problems. Just because you wrote and app that is still in production doesnt mean it is bug free.

Reality check: some software businesses are better than others at responding to concerns and needs of their customers. IMHO All vehicle manufacturers, incl Ford, are performing poorly at this. Of course, most of my programing experiences involve punch cards lol

I recently bought my Ranger because Chrysler didn't care enough to answer a registered letter I mailed them. Tranny trouble 1 mile before warranty was up and dealer wouldn't fix under warranty.

It's too bad Ford has the worst initial frequency of repair in the industry. Farley is aware and although he's trying, fixing the problem is huge and there has not been much progress. I get the fact it can't be done overnight, but clearly this needs a full court press by Ford.

My RR was built on January 22nd and not delivered to the dealer until 4 April with 66 miles. Ford's initial do not ship order for all Rangers because of the "Press Release" is tough to swallow. Ford didn't want another disaster intro as has previously happened.

I love my new RR ... except the software. Every time I start the truck it's a surprise. A different screen (or no screen) appears. Unfortunately some screens cannot be changed while the vehicle is in motion so I can't get back to where I want it to be, let alone the numerous screens are sometimes difficult to navigate. Web developers (my son is one) work with this software every single day and it appears just fine to them, but those developers need to take a perspective buyer aside and beta check the ease of use.

I asked my dealer to reload the software, but was told that unless there is an update to that software, the upload is not allowed by Ford. This is because software is controlled at Ford's headquarters and updates are done on-line from the headquarters.
I’ve got the same problem with my raptor. The software is very buggy and the delay from going into off-road mode to turn on rear locker is annoying when I am on the trail. Sometimes when my IPhone connects my volume doesn’t work and have to restart phone. Ford has yet to release any patches for my raptor. I’m sure they will fix the bugs but it will be awhile.
