The sensors need to be cloned to the truck's original wheel sensors (otherwise the truck won't detect them), that's why it comes with the tool.

The cloning process is fairly straight forward once you get it set up and you can clone/program them before you go and have the tires mounted.
Thank you. So is it just this brand/model that needs cloning? I've seen other posts that say they just put the ones they bought in and the truck automatically picked them up?

They look great. I just ordered the bronze version as I think it goes with my shelter green truck. Are you reusing the Ford TPMS or getting new ones?
Thanks! I'm having the tire shop install new TPMS sensors and pair them with the truck.

I'm not sure about the Ford OEM ones, but I think all Aftermarket versions, like the ones I used, need to be cloned because they're universal and essentially a blank until cloned.

The research I did before buying indicated that replacement TPMS had to be programmed or "learned" to the vehicle, but the OEM Motorcraft I bought paired right up and did not need to be programmed, cloned, paired, etc.
