It’s the bonnet strut hitting the intake.. I had the same problem and had to get other ones that attach in different locations

Interesting. So which ones did you get that worked out better? That would help anyone else with the same issue.

No issues here. Are you sure it's seated flat in the OEM holes and not sticking up a little?
Yes I loosened it all up and pushed it down. But it looks the same height as others I’ve seen on YouTube etc.

That makes sense I didn’t even think of that. I’ll take that side off and see. Which one did you go for?

No one installed this thing with the UPR catch can yet? I'm surprised. Waiting to hear how that went.
I've posted on fb about this and got some responses. I also emailed both UPR and SB several months back asking. From what I've seen it sounds doable. I'm attempting today and will post results for you. One person on fb said they drilled and used automotive silicone inside and out to seal, that's what I'll be doing.

Did the install today, I went with the non-oiled filter. No clearance issues with the hood, etc. A bit awkward getting things in place with all the heavy rubber seals and clamps, but the kit is really well made and does fit perfectly. Install took around an hour.

Flashed the Ford Performance Calibration about an hour later. I can hear a bit more turbo whine but it's not that noticeable.

Finished up. Went as planned, drilling was a bit scary but used liberal amounts of auto sealant afterwards. No CEL, everything running normally!

Seems like my engine bay is a bit dirtier than most others on here :inspect:

The side plate? Pretty easy. I take the Perspex off the top to push it out.
Yea the side plate is what I was referring to.

Also saw one person in here had issues with there hood struts hitting the airbox. Anyone else have that issue? I have the Redline Tuning hood struts on my truck and would be a little annoyed if I put a intake on and had issues with the hood struts hitting.

Yeah that was me. Doing a quick google I think your hood struts should be ok as the look to sit behind the air box where as mine were on top

I removed my side panel and it definitely increases intake noise.
