A dealer near me has a Desert Sand XLT with the black appearance package on their lot. Very cool.

That color looks great on the truck! Would be my pick if I were getting a 2025. Tint the side marker and remove the fx4 decal and it would be super clean ?

That keyless entry keypad is completely different than the ones most of us got in 2024. Wonder if there's any technical differences or if it's just cosmetic.

Was trying to get a sand XLT FX4 but someone grabbed it before I could get dibs. Ended up with a BAP 4x4 XLT in Carbonized. I’m happy with it but Sand looks so good

Added in front all weather floor mats. The hard part was figuring out how to take out the carpet mat on the drivers side. Push firmly on the middle of the plastic circle and gently pull up.

and the stubby antenna which I saw on a build here. That should save at least 10 mpg.

I agree with your color choice it looks great!!
You will not see many on the road Ford doesn't seem to be building many in Desert Sand for some reason.

Today I upgraded the lug nuts. I kept them chrome as I imagined what it would be like hunting black ones down at night.

at first blush I thought the stock ones had a shoulder but on closer inspection I realiased it is the crimp for the cladding.

and I bought a metric set of lug nut sockets (picture next to oem lug nuts) with built in extensions, since I always forget to bring one on trips

todays mod is a little metal clip to hold the middle seatbelt down flush with the seat when it is down.

mounted with 3m vhb

for some reason it popped off the first time but i have a roll of vhb and the second time it seemed to stay
