Loaner vehicle for a few hours.
F150, all bed. Wider truck but most of the width is door thickness. Side impact rating must be good.

Item installed today was the Ford touch link LED lighting system. Will get some pics when sun goes down.

Light is more cool white in person.
Touch any light with two fingers and all come on. Touch again for off.

Ignition Switch Ring!

Thanks to the form I ordered the following. Likely an Ali-Express supplier so it took a few weeks but arrived in good shape. Easy install, cleaned with denatured alcohol first.
Switch still very slightly loose but looks great. Picked silver to blend in more.

Front License Plate Holder.

Had plans to remove the front plate holder and just leave the front clean, but I found a great looking “FX4 Off Road” plate. Metal plus acrylic design. Might not hold up more than a year but looks good for now.
This now clears the way to remove the rear quarter panels FX4 stickers and have clean sides or maybe matte black or matching magnetic FX4 letters. Removed the plate holder to see how it mounted. My Nephew did not have one on his truck and needed some info. The OE holder scratches the magnetic painted metal bumper so I added a layer of film to protect it from the plate.

Bushwhacker Sill Guards

Installed the passenger side today.
Easy install and good fitment.
Hardest part is getting the red tape cover strip started. Have to use tweezers!!!!!!!!

Rear door should wrap under entire length of door like the front. But OK.
Seals all the way around the piece and covers entire underside.

Great mod. Excellent protection for sills and if you run a step it keeps shoes from rubbing on the paint.

Once I did the first side, the second went a lot faster.

I could be wrong but will answer for him.
If you have a clear shot down to the pinch weld then you might be able to install with steps in place. But it might be hard to slide them in place.
Best would be to remove the step. Brackets could maybe stay in place.
I am waiting for power steps so hope the Bushwhackers will not interfere. If the steps bolt to frame then I am OK but depends how close they fold to body. I hope they have an adjustable stop point.
But I wanted to install to prevent damage to underside. How some can run without mud flaps? I waited 2 weeks for mine and have a couple nicks.

I installed the running boards after the guard, but I think there's enough room to do it the other way round.

Engine Cover. Foamy!


Had the dealer order the engine cover and bolts. Took only 3 days. Guess they have more inventory than an OE hitch which is still not in.
An odd cover. Made from dense foam. Don't hit it with anything. Feels like you could chunk it out.
I guess the foam helps absorb sound. Wish it was plastic and a little larger. The exposed bolts are also odd. Does it help? Yes, maybe. The start/stop is quieter. Will have to remove one time and test drive to see. Price info below and part numbers.
