Correct, mate. When we installed the amber DRL on our Aussie Ranger Raptor, it behaved exactly as expected for the Australian model. It functions differently on the US-made version, which just goes to show that the module's behavior depends on how the headlights are programmed.
The products you all are providing are worked as designed for sure it is just that we have some different settings here in the US and you all are freaking legends for trying to work around all the quirks we keep finding! Thanks for sticking with us and helping provide cool raptor gear instead of giving into the frustration and cutting us off :) Cheers

Hey @Signature Lux , I just ordered mine along with the grille lights a couple of days ago. I was wondering, have you had a chance to figure out the installation instructions for the US-spec trucks yet?

I know it must be tricky without having a US-spec vehicle on hand in Australia, but I was curious if there’s a general recommendation at this point. Should we go through the fender liner like @KayaPayaPigDog did in his video (thanks for that, by the way!), or would removing the headlights be the easier route?

Just looking for the path of least resistance here. Thanks in advance!

i know you are looking for Signature Lux to respond but i'll let you know that i am actually shutting down the computer to go out and try to figure out the best way to remove the headlights right now... if it turns out to be easier (less than 1.5 hours) i'll post a video because that would make this mod SO MUCH EASIER!!! Hope that helps a little bit.

It can be done but holy shit is it a lot of work!!!!!

Dang, looks like you basically have to tear apart the whole front end just to get the headlights off… Having tried both methods, which one felt less painful, removing the headlight or working in the tight space behind the fender liner?

now that i have it all back together and i'm in a calmer state of mind there are pros and cons to both... my quick answer to 95% of people is to do it through the fender by moving the liner out of the way and just deal with the tight spaces... that said, if you are confident in your ability to put everything back the way you found it, taking the whole light out is an option... now that i have done both, i think i could do it through the fender in about 2 hours for both sides start to finish... taking the front end apart (even now after having done it) would take at least that long but it would help avoid a lot of frustration of working in tight spaces.

The best answer i can give you is that if you came over to my house to do the amber light mod i would help you by going through the fender well unless you really wanted to see how to take the front end apart. Hope that helps. I did get a video of putting it all back together so you can see how all the clips work and where the bolts are that you need to get to, i'll post that as soon as my phone charges back up because in true Flaberdoopin fashion it dies at the very end haha.

I am definitely investing in some of the specialty tools they suggest and going in through the wheel well. PS GO ARMY!

Thanks for going through the struggle so that the rest of us don't have to! Sounds like I'm going to be approaching it through the fender liner after all.

Wait for it….

Can confirm they fit and work as advertised. Not the easiest install but the flexible ratcheting bit drive is 100% necessary otherwise basic hand tools is all you need.

I’ll have a video up in the next few days.

I’m looking forward to seeing your install video to pick up some tricks of the trade for when I help out other people with this mod.
They look great! Was able to get a few photos this morning
