Are there any problems with reflections of the mount/ sun glare in the windshield? I use a suction cup mount for my Garmin gps and all the parts that attach to the glass are completely hidden from the drivers view. I get bothered by weird reflections. Thanks!

Thanks for links. Just ordered the assault with a phone mount. Finally a solid way to mount stuff

Thanks for passing this along. I pre-ordered the slim with a mag-mount for a radar detector that I'm going to use for my trailer TPMS.

Has anyone figured out a clean way to conceal any wires that would feed up to this (for a charger or aux switches for example)? Which panels did you run behind?

The mounts are in stock 3 weeks early. They are filling backorders as we speak.

Noob here, what's the more common mount out of the two? I'm aware of the picatinny rail, if I wanted to add a red dot sight.

It's really personal preference.

Installed.

1 trim piece to pop off w/ included pry tool; a 1-for-1 swap with the new track piece. Reuses 2 factory screws from the original trim piece, and drills 2 small (1/8", I think; drill bit is included) holes to give it additional strength. Took about 5 minutes.

I wasn't familiar with these RAM ball systems, so I ordered a few extra pieces I didn't end up using. Oh well.

It's really friggin solid, there's no play in any of the components whatsoever.

If you don't want crap across your line of sight, just buy the proper accessory to drop it down where appropriate.

They're rubber clips for cable organizing - for running power to your phone/tablet/radio, etc.

They happen to fit the allen wrench, and I'm still tweaking where I want everything so I just leave it there for now.
